With some flaws corrected, this could be a great book
My friend proclaimed to me that she is on something called "dash diet". I try to keep up with nutritional trends and I love to try out new cookbooks and recipes, but I never heard of dash diet. I asked her to lend me the book so I read through it.I understand the principles behind dash diet, but I don't know if they would work on a long term. But, I guess, that is why it is called "dash" diet. I tried some of the recipes and they turned out well. The book itself has some problems: the author could use an experienced proofreader, the formating is not so good and I would like to see some pictures in it too. Also, nutritional information should be in it, but I'm already used to that in self-published cookbooks.I will give this book a good rating on a basis of good recipes and principles of dash diet that, I believe, can be useful for quickly getting rid of extra weight. I didn't test it long term and I didn't tried out all the recipes so keep that in mind.

This is a good cookbook to add to your digital bookshelf, even if you don't use the Dash Diet
I cannot, in good conscience, either recommend or not recommend, this book to your attention, because every person has a different palate, and because different people diet with different diet plans, and you know yourself better than I ever could. (Look Inside this book to read more about the Dash Diet, or Google the term for more info than you could possibly read.)However, I can tell you that whether you're on a diet or just looking at cookbooks, you can certainly find a number of individual recipes that you might enjoy making.As with others of her cookbooks, Sara starts out with some good advice, avoid MSG when you can, eat slower, avoid eating before bedtime, and include protein with every meal.In addition to telling you about the diet itself, Sara includes recipes for appetizers, salads, breakfast, main dishes, desserts, soups, and even shows you a 7-day meal plan.Her Berry Banana Ice Cream sounds delicious. All you need is 1 cup of frozen berries; 3 bananas cut into one inch pieces and frozen, 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract, and half a cup of non-fat milk. It's recipe # 38 in the book.

Great way to start the DASH Diet
I had heard of the DASH Diet, but was not sure what it was all about. This book explains the theory behind the DASH Diet and then gives delicious recipes to use if you are planning to follow the DASH Diet. There are appetizers, salads, breakfast recipes, main dishes, diet desserts and diet soups. There is even a 7-day Meal plan to help you get started. I plan to follow the diet and try to lose weight as well as lower my blood pressure. I highly recommend this recipe bool

Not a cookbook I would recommend
The recipes in this book don't seem to be based on the most recent DASH diet information. The explanations for why the diet works are a bit vague and somewhat bizarre. The author could definitely have used an editor or proof-reader because many sentences make no sense as written. I'd love to give page numbers as examples, but there are no page numbers. Take this sentence as an example: "You need to try to keep your intake of things like maple syrup, jelly, sugar, fruit-flavored gelatin, hard candy, ices, fruit punch, sorbet, jellybeans, and jam. If you need to take sweets, ensure that they are low in fats." Besides being poorly written, it's wrong.I suspect this book was self-published. With many of the recipes there is no indication of how many servings it makes. I doubt I'd actually use this book anyway, because I simply don't trust the author to know what the DASH diet actually is.

and the good effects to last
The title is misleading. It should be called, Dash Lifestyle. This will help you control your weight, but for it to really work, and the good effects to last, you would have to follow the principles throughout your life. The main goal of this book , is to help you control your blood pressure. All in all, this works, and if people followed these guidelines early in their lives, it could help people to avoid the damage high blood pressure does to a person.

If you're having a hard time keeping a healthier lifestyle, grab this book and follow all 42 nutritious recipes.
I'll consider it the truth that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is difficult when you work in the office for more than the required number of hours. Due to stress and tiredness, most people rely on fast food joints to get sustenance. What this book offers is a way people can change up and become better. The DASH diet includes healthier salads, breakfast, main dishes, desserts, and soups. Now you have the power to be better each day by preparing your meals.

Best diet ever
Best diet ever! I love sweets and carbs, so I needed a diet that would help me eliminate those from my daily food plan. This diet does it for me. and I still get dairy and fruit. I have lost 10lbs on Phase 1, which was very easy to stick to. During Phase !, I never craved sweets. I find that the jello and crystal light satisfied that sweet taste I needed. I am looking forward to staying on it to my goal weight.

Good Dash diet guide
I don’t really follow Dash, I’m more of a Paleo type of guy but this book does provide some very interesting nutritional information I was not aware of. Good book if you need to lose some weight or just learn more about nutrition.

Good cookbook!
Dash diet is a very new concept and I don't have much knowledge about it, that's where this book comes it. It explains about dash diet, the benefits of it and also has great recipes to follow. Good book!

No pictures, just text. Very boring and uninspiring.
This is more like a leaflet than a book. Yes there is text in there detailing the diet and some recipies, but it is just 40 odd pages of plain text (with spelling mistakes), not a single picture. In terms of quality it is no better than something that has been photocopied and put through my door for the general election.

It's ok - not amazing
Better for ideas rather than actual recipes. Very dull, no pictures inside which I think is always a shame with any cookbook, especially if trying to encourage unskilled cooks to have a go. Irregular serving sizes, some recipes for 2, others for 4, 6, 8 and 10 so a lot of calculating - it would be better if there was more consistency.

Some easy and interesting recipes for all healthy eaters. I shall be trying some of these tasty recipes very soon.
