This is a nice, very bright light for evening/night cooking on the grill. There are three improvements I would recommend. First, a light used outdoors should >always< be waterproof. So I think the company that makes this light could probably make some small design changes to make the unit watertight. Second, it would be nice if the light was a little lower profile. My Weber grill cover is just large enough to go over this unit, but it's a tight fit. Third, I'm still uncertain as to the value of a touch-sensitive button. Way too easy to turn this unit on accidentally, for example, when you're putting the cover over your grill - which is required since the light is not waterproof. So there are some potential improvements, but in terms of providing good light, this unit is very bright and fully covers the surface of my Weber gas grill. So I'll leave it at that - it performs its intended function well.

Great light that illuminates the entire surface of a 19.25 x 33 grill. The light is a clear white light which is excellent at night. Only negative is its not waterproof, it absolutely should be as should anything on a grill designed for outdoors. A little pain to put it on n off constantly but will deal with it as the convenience of now being able to grill in the dark outweighs the repeated removal/installation.Only concern, which its too early to tell although it survived its first use, is how long the lense covers will last. These feel like plastic and really should be glass. Would NOT recommend having this on the handle with the lid closed unless you move it away, at the minimum tilting it everytime away from the heat source. My grill gets supernova hot and with the lit open and that sitting there the surface/light output area gets too hot to touch with bare hands. Hopefully it survives, so far it passed a 20 minute test but that is a small amount of time. The LEDs with reflector and angle used to aim them are perfect. It does the job, just hope it will hold up. The lifetime warranty is what made me move forward with the purchase.

It was almost impossible to remove the tiny philips screw that keeps the battery cap in place. None of my small computer or jewlery tools worked and I had to resort to using a small tweezer that I found. After about 30 mins, i got it off and then used gorilla tape to keep it closed.I needed to use the product for a party so I am not returning it. Once I got the battery compartment opened, the product worked as advertised. I would suggest the manufacturer provide a tool with the product to open the battery cap.

The light was much brighter than my old one. My old one(weber light) had auto on/off which was convenient but failed. This one has a manual touch switch. It turned out to be more convenient than I expected, still would prefer the auto type but not a big deal. The touch switch seems sensitive so if I ever use the BBQ cover I'll need to remove the light to keep it from turning on.It was easy to mount on the BBQ lid handle in a location where it would not interfere with anything. I do need to swing it out of the way when closing the lid.I really like this light overall mainly for the higher level of brightness provided compared to my old one.

The light is awesome, but the only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is because it says you can turn it on and off manually or it will turn on and off by the tilt of it. Mine is not turning on and off by opening and closing the grill. It only works by touching the button. Other then that, it is bright and works great to see what I am cooking on the grill..

Pros:Good battery life.Adequate amount of light.Flexible as to how and where you can mount it.Cons:It seems a little on the flimsy side.The on-off switch is quite sensitive and it's way too easy to accidentally turn it on or off merely by brushing against it. I actually mounted it on a tree branch above my outdoor grill -- and a strong wind turned it on one night.If I were doing this all over again I would get something a little sturdier and more powerful.

This light is very bright, the on off switch works well but is very sensitive, the mounting clamp is strong but one of the rubber pads became dislodged when I rotate the light opening and closing the lid so I secured it into place with electric tape. This light replaced a different brand on the grill that was only a year old and is a far better unit in every way, I only hope this lasts longer.

I like the light put out by this grill accessory. I like that it can survive being out in the rain (I trust). But it does not automatically shut off when I close the grill. I tried every angle. Also, it does not stay in a fixed position but glides down due to gravity. Five stars for everything working well, but the auto-off feature never worked.
