The 1460 is the original Dr. Martens Boot. Made with instantly recognizable features: 8 eyes, classic Dr. Martens leather, grooved sides, a heel-loop, yellow stitching and a comfortable, air-cushioned sole. Built to last, this unisex boot is forged using one of the finest methods of construction: utilizing a Goodyear welt and heat-sealing it to the sole. The 1460 is made with highly durable leather and sits on an AirWair sole, which is oil and fat resistant with good abrasion and slip resistance. Use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam to protect the leather and keep your boots clean, soft and supple.

Call a Nurse. What Happened to Dr Martens?
I bought these for a costume party next month and they are the perfect shoe for the the look I’m going for however I’ll probably list them on eBay afterward and sell them. I recall Dr. Martens being of better quality. This pair of shoes feels very stiff and cheap, like some China knockoff. The owner of the store that these shoes came from sent me an email saying that “he saw that I received the shoes and that he’s a retired veteran supporting his family with this online store and would I post a 5 star review.” This is the second time I’ve received a request like this from two different vendors. The emails are almost identical. Unless it’s a meal, there is no way I can tell the quality of the product by just removing it from the box. The only reason I can with these boots is because when I lived in Seattle 1991-98 where the shoe to wear was Dr Martens I went through two pairs and the leather was of higher quality. We have gotten to a strange place in America where people rely on reviews where people aren’t even actually using the product but rather looking and reviewing. Most products need at least a month of use before a consumer can acurratley rate a product. So that’s my 2 cents

These are not Real Dr.Marten Boots They Are Fakes / Counterfeit
These boots are not real Dr. MartensThey are some sort of vinyl, they are not tagged properly inside, the size is off, the soles are some sort of cheap plasticOn the bottom it should say Dr. Martens on the sole. These say Matamata Fashion. The Tongue should say the size but the tongue is blank and happens to be the only leather in the shoe it seems. The stitching is also inconsistent, And they are not even oiled leather. They are a shiny man made material

Cheap materials and bad workmanship!
"They don't make them like they used to", this is certainly true for Dr. Martens. I bought my first pair of Docs second-hand from a thrift store thirty years ago and wore them for years afterwards. I received my latest pair last night and I'm returning them today. Walking to work today I thought I had a pebble in my boot. I got to my office, took off the boot and discovered it was an eyelet grommet that had fallen off. A closer look reviewed that they were all coming loose. I've worn them less than three hours, absolutely unacceptable.I've noticed the steady decline of the brand for years but this is the worst. I guess this is what happens when you globalize and chase profits. They've outsourced to Asia where cheap materials and slave labor are used. Where once they were made by British craftsmen who took pride in their work and product they are now made from inferior materials by people who need to produce as many as quickly as possible in order to stave off starvation. Absolutely terrible and sad. I will spend more and get a pair of Gripfast. You get what you pay for.

Shoe fraud
I've been a victim of shoe fraud!I've purchased doc's before and these shoes were fishy to me. Returning them because they are tight and the leather is stiff and uncomfortable.Things that made me question the authenticity:Sole groves aren't as deep as my other pairSizing info is all on a rubbery type of material that will definitely wear off (my other pair has that printed directly on the leather)Insoles are exposed cardboard material and the embossing on it seems oddSeller name: Blu Sky

Beware of fake shoes.
Beware, I don’t believe these shoes are real Dr. martens. I have about 3 pairs of their shoes. The insoles of these shoes are cardboard. These seem real on the outside but the insoles are not comfortable and half of it is cardboard. No real Dr. martens shoes would have card board as the insoles and very uncomfortable. Not only that but the insoles are not removable as all shoes of this brand are.

First impressions
Great shoes! I love doc martens and these were a great price and seem to be original. After reading some of the comments I was skeptical about purchasing them but I don't regret it. They fit as expected and look great, the boots even came with the yellow laces and original box. I haven't worn them out yet but i'm sure the boots will hold up well. I do own other pairs of Dr.Martens but this would be the first time I buy them from amazon and I am very impressed.

Classic Docs are like no other boot.
First off, I wear a 10 and a half in sneakers. The size 10 Docs in the classic 1460 style fit me perfectly with enough room for thick woolen socks. If you are wanting to put inserts in them and are the same fit as I am, I suggest going a size up.I've worn various Doc's for twenty years, but this is the first pair of 1460's I've bought since the early 90's. I honestly don't know why I waited so long, I guess I just forgot how much I loved them.To those of you new to boots of these type, you'll need a few days to wear them in and get them molded to your feet. After the break in period, they become very comfortable, and they look iconic. As a footnote, I got fitted for the nylon Doc's as well (I'll be buying a pair shortly) and I had to go up a size to 11. I guess the nylons run a bit small.

Craptastic. Not what they used to be.
Like others have said, they're not the same as they used to be. Quality has dropped severely. After only a few months of wearing these the soles are splitting. There's a 4 inch lengthwise split on the left side of the right boot where the some of coming away from the leather. But it's not a welting issue, it's a crap materials issue, it's the rubber itself that's dying. Also, traction on these is not good. The bottoms of the soles feel like hard, cheap, plastic. I've worn this same model of docs for years but none were ever like this. The old ones would usually last me 4-5 years of daily work wear, and then would only be dead because I would wear a hole in the top of the right toe (dragging on concrete).Garbage. Will not but again.

The inner sole looked cheap and not good to the look
Never owned a pair of Dr.Martenes shoe. When I unboxed the shoe, there were no tags hanging from the shoelace's eye or leaflet inside the box. I just got it today and found it was made in China and stitchings were not finished properly. The inner sole looked cheap and not good to the look. There seems to be an inner cut mark inside the sole rubber too.I would say this is just tooo high-quality fake. And yes I bought this from Amazon
