Awkward volume, but otherwise excellent beer growler/thermos flask
So it works really great in it's intended purpose. It's very well built and the sealed lid and clasp that holds it shut maintain pressure very well. Like all Stanley products, it's ability to maintain my beer cold is also top notch. I also tested it with hot water (to see how well the insulation work) by filling it with boiling water and leaving it overnight – and upon opening it in the morning it had dropped from 98ºC to 95ºC; so fairly excellent for both purposes. The handle is also large and easy to hold.It says its dishwasher safe (and I'm sure it is) but it's funnelled neck and overall shape means you're unlikely to ever wash it in the dishwasher without risking residue being left in it.That said it's main flaw is that it's 1.9L in volume. Not only is this not a clean 2L, it's also not an obvious amount in UK pints (the local beer measurement where I write this review). I say it's 1.9L, but realistically it's hard to fill with beer to that measure as it's not clearly marked on the interior and of course, pouring a carbonated beer inside will produce foam, and such it's a rough estimate at best. If you go to your local real ale/craft beer shop, I suggest asking for 1.5L or 3 pints, and leaving the rest empty to avoid any issue with the volume measurement (otherwise it's basically impossible to mete 1.9L exactly in there unless you also have a set of scales to hand).Overall though, great piece of kit – especially for any beer/ale aficionado. Strong recommend!

Solid design.. and great content temperature keeping.
Stanley . A brand you can trust. Pour full of hot water at 9am and still makes hot coffee at 5pm and water to wash food flask out at 7pm.Not tried on cold yet as warranty says longer thermal use so it should keep but a quick flip top and hot water faultless

This is indestructible
Our son bought us The Growler because we needed a big, sturdy flask to take to our allotment and we use it all the time when working at our gardening jobs. When a friend recently broke a flask, I decided to buy one of these for her. I measured it out and it easily does about 8 cups. I would definitely recommend this flask if you need to cater for a long time or more than a couple of people and if you are likely to drop it or knock it over. It is really tough.

Keeps on ticking.
If you're ex military, you will appreciate the kicking this piece of kit will absorb under normal camping conditions.

Excellent insulation, sturdy, cool.
I'm using this to hold squash over the course of my working day. Around 9 hours ago I filled it with Ice, water and squash. You can see what's left of the six large ice cubes in my last glass. I'll be adding less tomorrow. The water is ice cold, just at the sweet spot. The outside of the growler doesn't feel cold at all. The seal is excellent, and the large mouth fits 1.5 inch ice cubes.I'm delighted. It's well worth the money

Great insulated high capacity flask
I really love this Stanley flask and have used it for lots of occasions, with both hot and cold drinks. I've been pleased with it every time. The only issue is it can be a little difficult to pour from, with a wide mouth and slightly uncomfortable handle but not a major issue, especially if I'm outside.
