This scene is in City of Rocks State Park near Deming, New Mexico. This type of rock formation is only found at 7 places on Earth so it is quite special to us. As with so many other amazing places on Earth, it feels very prehistoric and gives one a special connection to our planet. Although my first passion as an artist was photography, I have spent over 20 years creating my visions in mixed media fiber art before deciding in 2013 to concentrate my creative energy on painting and photography. My art has been exhibited internationally and has won numerous awards. In 2005, I was chosen to be an Artist-in-Residence for a month in Balatonfured, Hungary. Awards for my fiber art include a Niche Award in 2008 and again in 2013. The State of New Mexico has purchased and installed 10 of my landscapes as part of the Art in Public Places Program at various sites around New Mexico.
