As a lifelong foodie I spend a lot of time in the kitchen with my head buried inside a cookbook, listening to foodie podcasts and experimenting! I've reviewed quite a few cookbooks in the ten years I've been reviewing items I buy here on Amazon and I always let my fellow foodies know. . . what the recipe list is! I like to know what's in a cookbook before I buy.I have loads of cook books from all the well and not so well known chefs. I really like Si and Dave's books as they are clear, concise - down to earth and easy to follow for us homecooks in my experience. . . This is definitely one of the best home cookbooks I've seen in years! Proper food. Mine sometimes don't but who cares - it'll still be delicious! Recipes/ingredients are clear and concise - easy to follow.As somebody who grows their own veg (or as much as I can in a Liverpool back garden!) I love all the use of vegetables in here.This isn't restaurant cheffy stuff - it's good old fashioned home cooking - you cannot beat it for me!A cracking book and as with as with the other bikers books I own - I'll definitely be buying a few foodies this for christmas!Good luck in the kitchen and best wishes to all!

Nothing wrong with the book or the recipes but there are not many there that I would consider British Classics. Maybe I'm behind the times but I expected good ol' stuff like Lancashire Hotpot and Toad in the Hole but instead we get recipes that involve Chorizo, garlic and pizza.... Nothing wrong with those but not really British....

What a beautiful book, lavishly illustrated and well written. It's full of my favourite recipes. Yes, many of them are old family favourites and some have appeared in their previous books but these are with a twist. Great recipes and excellent value for money. I have several of the Hairy Bikers' cookery books. They are always delightful to read and the recipes work. Highly recommended.

Bought as a Christmas present and it was very appreciated.The meals at home have started to taste much better so I can only assume this book is amazing.

Nothing to dislike about this book, giving good tasty recipes that we all know and love. Ok some may have been in other books these two have out.....but so what this happens in a lot of recipe books by other authors. For me it’s good and that’s what counts
