Please be beware of the sinister in this book.
As much as I loved the book, I would still want to warn the readers to please read this one and be prepared to be devastated. From the very beginning the book starts with a shock and there is just a breather for very few chapters where they are introducing the characters, telling who is who and then it gets serious and sinister and devastating.I loved the book because it's so well written but I had to really stop and take a breather while I was reading. It's scary. There aren't many surprises in the book but there are SHOCKS!Every time you think you know the worst , there comes something that's even worst.I have cried a whole lot while reading this book.So long story short!Brace yourselves for impact! And be prepared to be shocked and devastated. It's a ride that's chilling and extremely thrilling.

It's dark, gritty and downright disturbing. A book, not for the faint of heart.
Book Quality : It was in good condition. Amazon delivered again (quite literally 😂).The book: One of the darkest and most disturbing book I've ever read. I love the genre. But at times it was really making me uncomfortable. And since that is a goal this book (I think) was hoping to achieve, I applaud it for doing so.And I couldn't stress enough on the fact that this book isn't for everyone. But if you can stomach the gore and depravity, then you'll find yourself having read a really good thriller.

Amazing book, well crafted and written
4.5 starsEasily one of the best thrillers I have ever read. But, I'd say approach this one with a bit of caution as major trigger warnings for: drugs, drug abuse, rape, gore, blood and torture. When the last name of the person is Slaughter and it's not a pen name, hardly anything can go wrong, eh?

3.5 stars
Though the beginning was interesting, I just wanted to finish by the time I finished half. I expected more twists and turns which was definidefinitely lacking.

My first 5 Star read in a while
5 Stars - This is not a police procedural nor a book about detective trying to solve a mystery. It's a story of two sisters who have experienced a tragic crime in their family, and now the same pattern of crimes is seemingly continuing. This is not a book about a novel, clever twist, or long breathless action. Nonetheless, it is page-turning once it progressed beyond a certain point. What is compelling are the characters. Miss Slaughter writes them very well, and narrates the story very well.Though I do not like some introspective chapters that curtailed the speed of the plot, understandably, they're there for a good reason. It's been quite a while since I gave a book 5 stars and Pretty Girls deserves it.

Unsettling, sometimes tedious, but still unsettling
I like the book. It's very emotional and unsettling. Without giving away too much, those with depression or with harrowing experiences, please know that it can be quite triggering. The book sometimes feels tedious a bit, but I felt that it was needed to set the mood and eventual climax of the novel.
