Looks more expensive than it is, although the "crystals" are just plastic. Comes mostly assembled, but you'll probably need to re-attach a few of the stands. This is easy, since the connections are just tiny keychain rings. Color stated is black, but when the light shines through it's actually a deep blood red. Very pretty, but if you want a true black you'll be disappointed. Also, note that this is actually taller than stated because due to the plug in nature the top of the chandelier will hang a few inches down from the ceiling. My room has standard 8" ceilings, and while I (5'2") can walk under it fine, anyone over 5'5" would brush or bump their heads on it.The plug/chain is black, which stands out a bit against a neutral colored wall.Despite all the above things, I really like this chandelier. It's dramatic, well-priced, and really pulls my room together.
