My wife bought this for a gift for Christmas. She liked it so much when she was wrapping it that she ordered one for herself. She really likes it. It heats quickly & so far, she has only used it on low heat & says that it really good & it is very soft. She likes the shawl styling so she can get her arms out when reading. The only problem is when she gets up, she has to fight the dog to sit back down. Apparently, the dog gives it a 5 star rating for softness & warmth too.

After I purchase this as a Christmas gift and sent it to another state we find out this item is not working it’s not heating what a shame

This is my baby. And my daughter says this is the best thing I could've given her. My cousin and her daughter fights over hers. So comfy so warm. Perfect when everyone else is not cold. Better than medicine

This is the second one of these I have owned. When they work, I absolutely love them. But without warning, one day they will just suddenly stop working, and the light will just blink. Nothing I do will fix it, and I never did anything different with it that could have possibly broken it. It never even lasts a year. I'm super disappointed.

My dad calls this his "sarape". I got it for him because he's always complaining about being cold. For reference it's the end of summer and we keep the AC on 75F. He keeps it on the recliner in the living room. It's so soft and fluffy that if there's any bit of the blanket on the seat of the chair the dog will come curl up in it. Now my dad is blind, so having buttons on the control that are easy to use by feel is important. There's a small round button on the bottom for power and that has a small bump in the center. A second oval button near the top changes the heat setting. My dad can't see the indicator lights but they are there. Having the 2-hr shut off is nice but I had to confirm it had one since it doesn't say on the control.

I noticed another review that said this blanket got too warm. My experience is that it doesn't get warm enough.This blanket shipped quickly and was packaged quite well. When I took it out of the package I was very pleased with how soft and plush it is. It's very conveniently cut so that it drapes like a shawl and the material is substantial for a roomy fit. I couldn't wait to plug it in and get nice and warm and toasty because it's always freezing in my home office.It does get warm. But it has three settings and the "high" setting doesn't get as warm overall as a blanket that's just been taken out of the dryer. I say "overall" because the blanket seems to have hot spots. After it's been plugged in long enough to reach the maximum warmth, some spots are warmer than others. In fact, some spots seem no warmer than room temperature, just like a non-electric blanket would be. Other spots feel quite warm. Unfortunately, those spots are near the bottom and not around the part that drapes over the shoulders.I've given this blanket three stars overall, because I can't say it doesn't keep me warm in my cold home office. But if you're looking for an electric blanket that gets really warm, consistently over the entire blanket, on the "high" setting, this is not the blanket you're looking for.
