Stainless Steel 3mm Small Round Black Ball Stud Earrings for Women, Men, Teens

If you're aware of how tiny 3mm is, I doubt you'll be too disappointed in these studs. I picked them up at a rock bottom price and so I kept expectations low. They're of decent quality, look pretty cool, and despite the black coated finish chipping off the post, I'm ultimately satisfied with the purchase.The studs have a bit of a pearlescent finish--more like a dark hematite than a matte jet black. The ear nut, a friction/butterfly back, IS super black; I'm not a fan of that as I have multiple lobe piercings and feel the black color draws more attention to the back of my ears than necessary. But I'm female and imagine these were designed for guys with a single piercing...and obviously the ear nut can be easily swapped as these are standard 22g studs.As far as being "hypoallergenic", I chuckle a bit at that term because stainless certainly can be an irritant to some people. And as already mentioned, just with light wear, the finish has flaked off the post--this could easily trigger a reaction for those with sensitivities or fresh piercings. However, at this price point, and because I don't sleep in these/wear for long periods of time, they've not irritated me thus far.They came simply but securely packaged, in a sealed plastic bag but with no 'gift' presentation.To help with scale: I've included a photo of the studs on the inch side of tape measure rather than the centimeter side. The pic of my ear features this stud in the standard hole and then as it ascends that's a 2mm stud and then two 6mm studs (the white ones).One star deducted as the manufacturer should have just left the post as pure stainless steel rather than coating it. Savvy shoppers should monitor the price point as ultimately these are economical 'fashion' studs, just a notch above tween mall fare.

They're great for first and second hole piercings, but too big for third hole ear piercings. Still cute though! just don't leave in too long or your ears will turn green.

nice :) what you can't tell from the pics is there's a pearlescent sheen to these. I bought them because they were inexpensive and seemed to be a good backup in case my piercer didn't have something I'd like. he didn't, so I got these out and what kind of blew me away was that he liked them a lot! in fact he was the one who pointed out the pearlescent finish.so yeah, I'm happy.

I have extremely sensitive ears and these earrings are perfect for them. I've been testing out different pairs for a month or so now & once I found this pair, I ordered three more pairs so I could have sets for all of my ear holes. I love these earrings. Great color. Great quality.

The backs keep falling off.

These are tiny and used in the upper holes of my ear. I like that they are stainless steel and can be worn for a long time without irritating my ears.

Small enough for me or my toddler. Wear all the time. Once put in, no take out.10/23 had over a month now. No chipping or color loss. Stays put in ears no problem.
