Marathon Housewares KW200004 China Storage Dish Case, 7" Vinyl

I have several different sizes of Marathon China Storage cases and they are all uniformly good quality and excellent for longer term storage of fine china. Unfortunately, the most recent 7 inch round case I just purchased is too short to hold a stack of a dozen bowls, so I will need to buy another one. Despite that minor frustration, I am very happy with all my purchases and will obviously be buying another case.

I am very happy to be able to purchase just this one size as I use them to pack up the saucers for my many tea cups to transport them to tea parties I hold. I use dycem pieces though instead of the felt as they keep the saucers from shifting and can be laundered.

Excellent Storage Case for small bowls and plates 7" or under. Soft Exterior, if you're looking for firm for stacking this is not your choice. I use it for china I often use but want to protect the dishes from chips and dust. Really appreciated being able to order a single case for small bowls.

Reviewing for those like me might think with this many good reviews, those complaining must be extra picky. I purchased these to supplement Crate & Barrel's set as I needed more small plate storage and it's difficult to find these offered in individual sizes. I did not think the C&B ones were particularly high quality (also vinyl with foam dividers), but once I had these to compare them to my opinion changed.These ARE quilted but are NOT padded. They are constructed from two layers of medium-weight vinyl (like the kind that a decent quality disposable tablecloth would be) sewn together. So far as I could feel there is no added cushioning between them, just air. There is a layer of cardboard to keep the bottom flat and somewhat protected, which is something the Crate and Barrel ones do not have, however the C&B ones are about 5 times as thick and padded so it is less necessary. The zippers seemed ok, but I didn't really put them under any strain.This product is about the equivalent of wrapping your china in two layers of shower curtain liners sewn together. If you've got a secure storage place and are simply trying to keep out the dust that might be all you need. If you're concerned about it getting bumped while in storage or need to stack different size plates on top of others, or basically anything where you would want some padding, these are not going to cut it.

A quality product that does not cost a fortune but serves its purpose very well. I have several of these containers and have no complaints.

Very good for China storage. Doesn't have a lot of padding to it but works if you just need to hold items on a shelf and keep dust-free.

Received as expected. These will keep my dishes protected from dust and all in one place (what I needed), but aren't padded enough for protection from damage during transport.

Happy with the set but will have to repair one of the smaller pieces because we don't want to send the whole set back. Received a piece with a 3 inch hole in the seam at the bottom.
