Cuisinox Whistling Tea Kettle, 3-Liter

To start, this is a VERY nice kettle. The only problem is the volume. It is described as 3-L, which is slightly more than 3 quarts. I put 3 quarts of water in it, and it was about to come out the end of the spout. It really breaks my heart to send it back because it is sturdy, good looking, and whistles well. Unfortunately, to brew coffee in my Melltta pot, prime the thermal carafe, and make my husband a cup of tea I need 3 quarts at least.

I bought this tea kettle about a year ago and from the first time I used it the Whistle did not work proper not loud very faint then didn't work at all then fell off, because of that every time I used it I had to stand by the kettle so that I won't forget it. was on. Well, last night I did just that and the kettle boiled dry and every thing plastic melted down before I shut it off because I could smell it burning that had never happen to be before. I have bought kettle that were in the price range of $20.00 which lasted longer and without this safety issue. The manufacturer otherwise made a good product and then finished it up with a very cheep whistle that is a big safety problem I was lucky that is was only the kettle and not the house with my husband and myself in itFran.

Perfect tea kettle for ceramic cooktop, finally! I needed a tea kettle with a perfectly flat bottom, and I wanted one with a whistle that could be "latched" open if I wanted to leave it on the hot surface for awhile. It was almost impossible to find these two things! This tea kettle is big enough to boil plenty of water, it has a flat bottom perfect for a ceramic top stove (that also works on any other type of cooktop including induction), it is high quality stainless steel, and the whistle can be clicked and latched open if you wish. This is the third tea kettle I tried, and I sent the other two back. This one is a keeper.

Looks beautiful, but the spout is smaller than most tea kettles which makes it hard when I pour water into it. I also have to hold the back side of the handle when pouring it otherwise it doesn't empty properly. It's kind of a weird bird.

I got this teakettle for my new Bosch induction cooktop. It is probably the best teakettle I've ever owned. It's sturdy, has a nice wide base so it heats up very quickly, has a pleasant and audible whistle, and I love that the lever that raises the spout lid keeps it raised until you want to lower it by pushing the button under the handle again. Very handy to use and keeps my fingers from getting steamed. I highly recommend it for an induction cooktop.

The handle is screwed in from inside the kettle. After using it a while the screw is coming loose. There is no way to reach in and re-attach the handle. Constant heating and cooling just loosens the screw more and more.Find a model with a welded handle or at least screwed on from the outside.

Although concerned by several reviews indicating short life, I've found no problems with this capacious kettle after a long period of daily use now. I use it not only for making tea, but also for boiling all my drinking water, so it gets really heavy use, yet is standing up splendidly!

Good Kettle but whistle came apart within a month

Works well on induction cooktops. The one touch spout works well and avoids scalding.
