Hampstead Tea Organic Fairtrade, Fennel Liquorice Tea, 20 Count Sachet

Compared to bare fennel teas, this one, with liquorice, is very aromatic and sweet. I use it for colds and stuffy nose and anytime. This is my special way of preparing it: Water temperature 75C or 170F. I use a simple stainless steel food or meat thermometer, which fits through the tea kettle's whistle whole. The reason for not boiling the water is, from my experience with herbal teas, it tastes so much better with lower temperature. I suspect boiling water destroys a lot of the aromatic ingredients. 2 bags in a 500ml (16oz) stainless steel thermos (Nissan, available on amazon) to make it really strong. I don't put a limit on the time the bags are in the water, sometimes I make the tea late at night, and leave the bags in the full thermos until next morning. I drink it as is, or with honey. One of the most enjoyable teas I ever tasted!

This is a great tea for people with colds. The fennel really does loosen phelm. Results after the very first cup. Has a great flavor.
