Epic in all the ways
Friends, companions, comrades, allies, teammates. Any way you slice it, this story and series highlights the way we all depend on each other to survive, succeed and flourish in whichever realm we find ourselves in. The buildup is great and the conclusion is fitting and satisfying. Highly recommended for all fans of fantasy!

Wonderful
I love the dragon lance stories. They are funny, sad and full of hope. They express so many emotions. They teach of honor respect duty courage and many other positive traits. I would recommend this book to almost everyone. The ending is bitter sweet and will make most persons cry.

conclusion to the Chronicles
I read this first back in the early nineties and I am rereading again. We revisit with some of the characters year later and meet someof their children. There they must fight with others in a war thatmay end the world that they know. Worth a read.

The first 4 are the best
Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, Dragons of Spring Dawning and this one Dragons of Summer Flame are the best in the series. Though, if you like the genre, I recommend all of them until they start being written by authors other than Hickman and Weis. They suffer considerably once Hickman and Weis bow out. Great cast of characters, fabulous dragons, epic adventures, it's all there!Vendor delivered in a timely fashion and in good condition.

Can the new Heroes Discover their Roles Before Kyrnn is Destroyed?
After the brief introductions of new characters in The Second Generation, Dragons of Summer Flame unfolds into an epic conflict that rages across Kyrnn. This is tight story that does in one volume what is often broken up into two or three. Weis and Hickman follow the children of the heroes of the War of the Lance (it is now 20 years after the war), as they figure out who they are, which side the are on, and their role in the Chaos threatening to destroy their world. A transitional volume between the previous trilogies and the next, but also serves as a capstone to the adventures of the classic heroes. They have passed the baton and this book definitely will want you to see what comes next.

A bittersweet end to the Chronicles . . .
The Dragonlance Chronicles were not the best written fantasy out there, but in the 1980s, they were almost unavoidable to those who played D&D. This last volume of the Chronicles, published much later and also set decades after the original Chronicles, makes for a bittersweet ending. There is some real fan service stuff here, but it certainly invoked some feelings in me, especially with Caramon, Raistlin, and Tas.

Hardcover awesome
Love reading the hard cover version, this book was hard to find for a while. Honestly it could have been skipped but I'm glad to have finished it.

Best sci fantasy ever!
I'm 73 yrs old and this is my 3rd read. Still wonderful and amazing that Weis and Hickman could give us such great stories. I first read them when they were published and waited each year for the next book!
