These were much studier and nicer than I expected. I bought them to use outdoors with straps to hold down my hot tub cover. They work well, with straps because of their square shape. The clip opener stays open when pressed back which is helpful. Once clicked back in place, there is a screw bead that tightens to make sure it is secure. It's nice to get 5 in a pack too - although 6 would have made more sense to have pairs.Update: I use these in the winter and the extreme cold temps outside made one of the carabiner's warp/stretch out when I pulled the strap tighter. Since they came in a 5 pack, I had a replacement, but I would recommend not putting too much pressure or strain on these in extreme weather conditions.

fine for light use. i used one to replace a belt buckle on a snowsuit. very lightweight. the locking mechanism is a screw type which does not actually lock, but screws quite a bit so that it won't easily be opened accidentally. fine for use with inexpensive items like clipping a water bottle to a backpack but i wouldn't count in it to keep an expensive item secured because of the non-locking feature.

Lightweight and effective when the locking screw is in place. These do not hold without the screw, so you can't use them as quickly as a conventional carabiner, but (once you get some practice) it can still be done with one hand.

They feel a bit flimsy, and are very light. Be using them on grommets during high winds and rain. Out of the 3 bags I used, two carabiners did not hold. The rest worked very well, so 13 out of 15 worked. That's 4 stars.

Uses "keychain" in the description but keys won't for on these. They won't work for my needs. Not happy.

Well made and seems to be quality material. If you are like me, you like ways to be able to securely attach things to other things. These fit the bill. Good value and fast shipping.

Used them to replace beat up plastic strap hardware on a Timbuk2 bag. By no means meant to hold real static weight, but works great for the bag. Look good, really light weight.
