I liked this book
I liked this book. It started with a kid named Artie. His sister Morgan woke him up and they had to go to school. Artie forgot to take out the trash and missed the bus. Artie wanted to be good at something. There was a locker that never opened, but Artie was able to open it. The school bully, Joe, got really mad that Artie could open the locker and was going to beat him up. But Artie's friend Percy stopped him and asked him if he wanted to have a dodgeball fight instead. If Artie's team wins, the bully has to leave them alone forever, and if Joe's team wins, Artie has to show the bully how to open the locker. This book was really funny. I liked the dodgeball tournament and the part with the spider. I would tell my friends to read this book.

Awesome kids' graphic novel
We gave this to a 7 year old; she loves it, and re-reads it over and over. While a lot of the elements are pretty common in a book for children -- difficulty of fitting into a new school, dangers of telling a lie, counting on your friends, perseverance -- there are enough witty surprises to make this a very fun read. I enjoyed the art, a nice level of "cartoonishness" to match the story. This is also one of those rare stories aimed in some ways for kids (see above), and some ways for adults (all the Arthurian and Shakespeare references). That makes it fun for an adult to share this book with a child.

Love this book!
My two kids (6 yr old boy and 8 yr old girl) and I love this book. The morning after finishing the book, my son talked about the story for over an hour. My daughter is pouring over it again right now and reading it herself. My son has looked through the pictures at least 4 times in as many days. The The one thing we don't like about it isn't there aren't any more books in the series (YET!). (As a mother I didn't really like how mean the sister was to her little brother...).I can't wait to give this book as a birthday present to my kid's friends.

4 stars
I give this book 4 stars because it was kinda perfect and kinda didn't have enough detail. But it was quite good after all. Nice job, awesome author! Love it! P.s. This story was super funny because there was that tarantula in the bag at the end of the story. That Mrs. Dagger was super mean! She shouldn't be a principal for being so mean to children! But she kinda held this story together well. This story needed a conflict, she was a great conflict person.

Great book
I gave this to my 7 year old son. It was more difficult for him to read than I expected, but the story kept him coming back (he enjoyed doing something difficult that is good for him--that's a win!). My son talks about the characters as if they were kids he goes to school with.

Dodge ball chronicles
11 yo son who hates reading - loved this book. He read it within a day. Similar genre to the Diary of a Wimpy kid series but probably more enjoyable for slightly older secondary school kids.

great for readers who "hate" reading
I purchased this graphic novel to use with some of my students who are struggling readers, and are bored by our first and second grade books. I even had one of my teenage students pick it up and read it from beginning to end. The story is engaging and humorous, and girls and boys seem to enjoy it equally.

Divertido
Como el resto de libros del autor a mi nieto le gustan mucho, por su formato son una buena opcion para jovenes lectores (9 años en este caso)
