Fun and Realistic
This book is a really fun book to read. Im reading it with my kids for part of their history. The book really captures my kids attention while teaching them about the times in Rome as well as some Latin and Greek words. I bought some more in this series because my kids liked it so much!

A great series.
A great book for children to learn about what life was like in the past for kids. Brilliant artwork, too. A series not to be missed.

Enjoyed but read before your kids/students
I enjoyed the story and Latin words throughout the book. However I’m not sure that I can put it in my classroom library. There’s one mention of assault and although it could have been worse this should open a serious discussion with kids and should not be taken lightly. Also, there’s mention of going to a play where women take their clothes off. While both of these are probably consistent with the times and setting, it’s more mature material than the students I hoped to share it with. I like the glossary of terms and history in the back of the book. It was an easy and enjoyable read that I hope my daughter enjoys when she’s older but it won’t be going in my classroom as intended.
