My Heart & Brain say Thank You!
I absolutely love Renew Life's Norwegian Gold Omega-3 Supplement! Not only does it support my heart and brain health, but it's also burp-free and dairy-free which is a huge plus for me. I used to dread taking fish oil supplements because of the fishy aftertaste, but with this product, I don't have to worry about that anymore. The enhanced digestion and purity certification are also huge selling points. The only improvement I could suggest is more softgels per bottle as I go through them fairl...

No fishy burping and gives the dose of Omega 3 needed for cardiovascular health
Great product, easy an stomach. My husband and me use it and our cardiologist says that this is the best affordable substitute for Lovaza. One good thing of this product is that you don't produce nasty fishy burps or have a fish aftertaste. NOTE: This is my husband and me personal experience. Persons are different and such is the metabolism and the body. If you are considering to buy a supplement, buy a small bottle and try it. It's normal to feel a little different for a week or so, this is because the body is adapting to the new supplement. I hope that my review can help you make the right choice.

excellent product
Renew Life is a good company for purchasing this quality of fish oil. I've been purchasing this product for a number of years. However, and purchasing this product I have discovered in two of the bottles that one of the capsules were cracked and leaked all over the rest of the capsules Another bottle came and another bottle has cracked capsules in it. There seems to be no one that I can contact to talk to about this but it's very bad business to not have any kind of customer support number to call when things like this happen to a product. This is extremely annoying!!?

My Kids Love Them!
This is the second kind of fish oil pills that we have tried with the kids (6 and 2 years old) and they tell me they prefer these. They have a very clear “berry” candy sort of flavor and are easy to chew. Both my kids happily eat them, remind me to give them to them each day, and even beg me for more. PROs: Taste is better than other brands. Previously we were buying the Garden of Life brand Oceans Kids pills (https://www.amazon.com/Garden-Life-Ultra-Pure-Omega/dp/B00280M0ZS/ref=sr_1_10_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1510067949&sr=8-10&keywords=Kids+DHA). I like that brand’s other products so they were my first choice, but one day these Norwegian Gold ones were on sale when the Garden of Life ones were more expensive than normal, so I picked up a bottle of these. Comparatively, these taste much better than the Garden of Life Oceans Kids. When we first opened the Garden of Life Oceans pills my daughter (then probably 4) excitedly bit into one and immediately spit it out and said it tasted horrible. She can be a bit dramatic about things and is really picky when it comes to food so I decided to try one to see what I thought. It had a very distinctly “fishy” taste and, personally, I would not have considered those “chewable” at all. But I had a whole bottle of them so I decided to teach her to swallow them. Which worked fine and she liked doing that so I continued buying them. When my much less picky son became old enough to chew vitamins I let him try them, fishy taste and all, and he loved them, so clearly some kids do like those. But he loves these Norwegian Gold ones too and my daughter says they are much better. CONs: I worry a bit about the ingredients and nutritional value. While I reviewed the ingredients and label before I bought them and felt OK about them, I feel like these must have less fish oil in them than the Garden of Life ones. The Norwegian Gold fish oil pills don’t have any fish taste that I can notice. Also, the oil in the pills is brightly colored which has occasionally caused problems when my son decides to take the mostly empty shell of the pill out of his mouth and carry it around and drip brightly colored spit mixed with fish oil on his clothes and around the house (two-year-olds are awesome). Despite my reservations about the ingredients, I feel like, based on the claims on the label, they are good enough quality and with my kids’ endorsements, I am willing to keep buying these.

When diet modification and statins are not enough to manage cholesterol levels, then add these Omega-3 oils to your diet.
The Norwegian brand oils should be of particular interest to anyone who needs to balance a diet with Omega-3 fatty acids. This formulation is a concentrated, ethyl ester blend of multiple omega oils dominated by two dietary omega-3 oils—EPA and DHA—in an appx. 2:1 ratio. Taken once or twice daily with meals, these oils are useful in lowering Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and Triglycerides. Since omega-3 oils modify a person's blood chemistry, any fish oil should be taken under the supervision of a medical professional and done with periodic check-ups to monitor blood profile improvements. This is especially needed because the EPA oil will also increase blood clotting time, and its use with aspirin or other platelet management medications must be taken into consideration as a potential health tradeoff. As an fyi, Norwegian Gold also produces a Critical DHA oil product which is useful for anyone who needs to primarily raise HDL cholesterol levels. In contrast to the Critical Omega blend, this product supplies DHA and EPA omega-3 oils in a 4:1 ratio. This DHA-dominant blend is the primary oil used to raise HDL levels while still lowering to a lesser degree the Total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and Triglycerides. I can personally attest to these outcomes because I have used both products. When diet modification and statins are not enough, then add these Omega-3 oils to your diet.

The One and Only Daily Omega.
I've purchased a few other brands of Omega supplements but I've never purchased them twice. It was either it had a fishy taste/smell to them, the whole burp thing after taking them, or they didn't make me feel the best after taking them. I've finally found a daily omega that I LOVE so much that I wouldn't know what to do if they discontinued it. I've since purchased four bottles of this daily omega so it's safe to say they work for me. They don't have a smell to them, I don't burp after taking it, and I know that this daily omega has been crucial in the revitalization of my hair growth and my skin. Oh, I almost forgot....they are easy to swallow. Please don't let the size fool you, these go down smooth, and easy to swallow is a top priority when taking a supplement.

A bottle of smelly fish oil that I almost vomited
Very disappointing. I used to take this pill but it looked different. I think the company said they repackaged it. I should have gone with my intuition because I had a feeling it wasnt going to be good. Prior to purchase I read a review and someone mentioned that the pills opened/leaked. I figured that this was a rare/defective bottle of pills. Well let me tell you about my experience....SAME THING HAPPENED!!! OPENED IT UP TO BE SMACKED IN THE FACE WITH A HORRIFIC FISH SMELL. I ALMOST VOMITED! THEN STUPIFLY I REACHED IN THINKING MAYBE JUST 1 PILL EXPLODED.......NO!! it was an entire bottle of srmi-melted big brown outer covering of poll......slimy fish oil which happened to stain my fingers so bad I washed so many times to get smell off and....I STILL SMELLED IT! I never had this experience with these pills from whole foods. Now I'm inconvenienced to ship package back, at my own cost, and go into whole foods to buy it but I DONT WANT TO BE IN THE STORES IF I DONT HAVE TO BE! Awful!

I started this review years ago and apparently never posted it. So here is what I wrote, and I will update it at the end. I bought this for my 3 year old. He bit into it and immediately hated the taste and wanted to spit it out. It took a lot of effort to get him to swallow it anyway and chase it with something to drink. I tried to teach him how to swallow it whole instead without success until the fourth day when he finally figured it out. These pills are small, round, and smooth. Now that he can swallow them whole, he has no problem taking them. There is no way he would have taken them if he had to chew them. Update: He is now 9 and continues to take them daily. We do auto ship monthly with Amazon. My complaint is that the last couple of years, we've received bottles with the exact same expiration date 03/2022 and then 06.2022. Most recent shipment is still 06.2022 meaning they will expire soon. I'm cancelling my subscription and buying elsewhere for awhile. They obviously have an old stockpile they have been trying to get rid of for a very long time without any new product being stocked in the warehouse. Other vitamins I order regularly have expiration dates that change accordingly with the passage of time. Not this one. This is not a slight against the product but against the company that is shipping out the product. WARNING: CHECK YOUR EXPIRATION DATES!
