I really wanted this to work, but ultimately it did not perform as I hoped. Let me give a little detail on my experience with this product.First I opened my package from amazon, and found the box was almost entirely in a foreign language. Barely any English on there at all, already I was a bit concerned.Second, I removed the product from the boxing and you could just feel it was lower quality parts/plastics -- but honestly I've seen some pretty 'cheap' looking/feeling parts that performed quite well, so I was skeptical at this stage.Finally I went to use the product.I actually have a smartplug that will give me power consumption readings, so connected to that. Even though the device has a sticker stating it's rated for 10 watts, I saw it jump to a high of about 83 watts, but then just as quickly it dropped down to about 13 watts. I figure 13 watts is pretty fair considering it's rated for 10, quite close there. It did maintain a temperature of approximately 276 degrees fahrenheit as well, confirmed via my 'temperature gun' which read the same output via IR and laser.So now to the long awaited test! After about 5-10 minutes of trying, I was unable to get much benefit from the product. I'm not sure if it needs more heat or if my beard is just too thick, but I did see it try to straighten some of the hairs on my chin. My assumptions here are that my beard might be too thick for this product to work well for me. Unfortunately even though I was gently on the product, it started to come apart as I was using it. For this reason I can't really recommend this to anyone and give this a single star.

I am torn with this item. I have flakey hair if I use hair products like gel or pomade but after finding this I can get that natural hair look without any chemicals or the flakes that come along with them. My issue with the device is it is made poorly. The case of the device creaks if I apply any pressure to my scale and it seems to be friction based device so there is nothing really solidifying itself together. There is also no automatic shutoff for the device either which being a guy and never having used these devices before.......I need it. So why give 4 stars? Because of the no flakes and new age idea alone. This product works but it has major flaws I am hoping the maker can wrestle out in an upcoming version.

Along with growing bear and maintaining it well by using beard oil every day, it is important to shape it daily to look cool. I was shopping for tools to shape and style my beard, and this is doing a good job. This straightener heats up pretty fast like in 30 secs and I use it for straightening my frizzy size hair and beard. I did not have any hair burning problem. Make sure to read the conditions properly before using this product.

One of the worst products I’d purchased ever. I changed the first that I purchase thinking that it was just a bad item, just to realize that the second one was the same bad construction and materials item. It is easy to break, you need to use it very careful because it Can fell apart if you grab it with regular force. I don’t know why Amazon allows this kind of poor quality products, but usually they only my to sell everything to get the mike money without check the customer’s interests. My advice: don’t buy this item, even if you pay $12 per it is just trash. It is so far to the images and videos they showed that misleading the customers.

Well I must say the first time I used this I was pleased but only after a few days that satisfaction is gone. This product is junk, worked three times and no longer heats up. I do not recommend.

Never worked. Never got warm. It lights up but that's all it does. Don't waste your money on this junk.

This was a horrible product!!! I bought it for my husband and as soon as he took it out of the box and plugged it in it made a loud popping noise and couldn’t use it. It went straight in the garbage.

Piece of crap is a scam... cheaply made.... doesn't even work unless you want to burn your cheek.... would give 0 stars if possible... don't believe those beard straightener ads... get something better than this piece of plastic crap....
