This tool is a must when serving the ignition system on your BMW. It allows you to pull out ignition coils with ease.

Props to a great guy on the m3 forums who put the work into developing this tool. I've changed the plugs twice on my M3. I bought this tool after the first plug change because it was a nightmare using a wire coat hanger to get the old coil packs up. The second time with the tool took an hour to do the job with beer breaks. It's still really tight on the back two near the firewall. There isn't any way to get vertical lift because they are basically under a tension bar so you have to rig up some way to pry the plug coil pack and then remove the tool so you can get the plug coil pack out. I swear they built this car around the engine and never planned on anyone servicing it.

i don't understand how BMW doesn't sell these, but thankfull this exact product exists. BMW would probably sell this tool for $300 if they did though XD

Definitely helpful in removing the s65s coils. However, unless you have tiny hands, it'll still be a pain to move the furthest passenger side coil. I recommend this pulling tool + some shoe string

Get this tool if you plan on changing the plugs on your BMW!!!!Thanks to this handy little tool, changing all 8 plugs on my 2011 ///M3 was a breeze. I could not imagine how much more difficult removing the coil packs would have been without this.Could the job be done without this tool...yes. Did the tool make the job much easier...ABSOLUTELY!Buy it...you wont regret it!
