As depicted. Plain (not ruled) pages was key, as wish to place pictures with special wording however suitable. Beautifully made. Has an extra ink refill, albeit both small. Pleased with this quality purchase, intended as purposeful gift.

I received this from my husband as a gift. I wasn't allowed to look at my Amazon account until it got here -- but when it did, I was pleasantly surprised.It looks exactly as advertised, and its external packaging isn't exceptional, but it is enough to keep the items stable in transit.Thankfully, my items weren't damaged in shipping; the cover of the journal is sturdy & well-made.The pen is perfect! Not the absolutely best quality writing pen, but definitely worthy for its decorative appearance alone.Journal is able to be used for sketches, poetry and short journal entries -- but the pages are not large enough to write super detailed daily entries on just a single page.All-in-all, I love mine and recommend to all Totoro/Ghibli fans, even if you just buy to collect items (like I tend to do!)

I bought this as a birthday gift for my sister-in-law who loves Totoro (I do too). I had her open it and jot something with the pen, and it writes beautifully. She handed the pen to me and it’s hefty, but not overly so, and the notebook is just adorable. Realize this is coming from 40+ Year-old people, but with kids around that were drooling over the item and ready to steal it away the moment it was unattended. Guard your Tortoro Journals people! This was the perfect purchase for anyone liking/loving Totoro and enjoying drawing or journaling (and it came with extra ink!). I might just have to get another... :-) (edited for typos)

Originally I couldn't justify spending $15 bucks on a pen and notepad just for my desk. Even though I've been purchasing quite a few Totoro items for myself, I was just on the fence whether it was worth it or not.... As you can see I did end up purchasing it.. I figured I could always refill the pen with replacement cartridges and the wooden notepad I'd keep on the desk for show rather than use it. Both products are good quality. The pen does write and it came with a refill and the spiral notebook is cute (both front and back are made of wood). Upon further inspection I noticed that with the notebook you might be able to refill the pages as well. Solid purchase for any Totoro fans out there. It would make a nice gift set as well. I don't regret my decision to buy it and it makes a wonderful addition to my desk.

I gave this as a gift to a beautiful person who adores anything Ghibli and especially "My Neighbor Totoro". Not only was it true to size but it was exactly like the description and image shows. The wooden edging of the book is fantastic and the pen was a cute not to mention it comes with an extra cartridge of ink. She was so happy she was holding back tears. I loved how much it made her smile. Thank you!

I expected cheap and flimsy, but this is the best buy ever.Pen is heavy, and sturdy. There is a tiny plastic cap over the pen that fits perfectly on Totoro's ear for safe keeping, and the box has an extra ink tube and pen.The notebook is well made, smooth with no rough anything or and concern for splinters and such. Paper is think but does not bleed or break. Also means more pages which I also like. It's abiut the size of my hand fingers included so it fits in many sized bags and pockets.I will buy again

I am in LOVE with this notebook and pen. They both have cute Totoro bunnies on them and are made of wood giving them a very boho vibe. They come in a cute little gift box and the pen comes with an extra refill, which is nice because actual ink size (length of tube) is only about 2.5 inches. All together I would say it’s well worth the money as a gift for someone who loves Totoro.

I bought this for my son's birthday. He loves to write and loves Totoro! The ink pen is very neat and it came with a little refill! The journal itself is made out of light wood covers and spiral bound pages. The journal's not the best quality, but it's just so darn cute, that's okay! My son loves it!

I bought this as a gift for a friend that is totally into TOTORO. She loved the gift as it seemed unique. The quality was great. I gave it a 4 because it had words on it that didn't really make sense to me; however, i am not a totoro fan and I don't know if those words have any relevance to the show.My friend adored it!!!

Exactly as I expected for the price. Super cute and a great, unique gift! Definitely a little flimsy and slightly cheap feeling, but worth it as a fun little notebook
