Clever, varied designs and techniques; simple flat seamed construction; clear, well-written instructions
As promised, this small booklet contains 20 patterns for wrist warmers. All of the pattern instructions are for knitting on pairs of single pointed needles (though some specify two sizes). There are NO requirements for dpns (double pointed needles) or magic loop. For all these wrist warmers you will be knitting a flat rectangle and sewing them up with a mattress stitch seam - not knitting a seamless tube. Because of that, only a few have a real division for the thumb; some require leaving a gap in the seam for the thumb, others are wrist warmers or cuffs with no thumb opening. There is a wide variety in the techniques and stitch complexity - seed stitch, cables, bobbles, lace stitches, stripes, fair isle, and more. The author/designer has made a real effort to include something for everyone - colorwork patterns range from cutesy snowmen to Mondrian. All 20 designs have a decidedly feminine look; I can't envision making any of these for a boyfriend.Experienced knitters will be able to knock these out after supper while watching TV. For beginners, these are terrific small projects and a great way to learn new stitches and techniques. (If you need help with a technique, just Google for stitch instructions or check YouTube.) You'll add something to your repertoire. The pattern instructions are very clear. Yarn suggestions are given in metric and imperial measures (yards/inches) - for example, 1 x 100g hand of DK (8-ply) merino yarn 250m/273yd. Needle info is provided in metric AND US/UK sizes - for example, 1 pair of 3.75mm (UK9 / US 5) single pointed knitting needles; 1 cable needle. Directions never get any clearer than that.If I had to find something to pick on with this booklet, it would be the total lack of wrist warmers knitted in the round. Overall, it's a fine collection.

The patterns are easy. If using the Magic Loop method it tends to go quickly. Only one observance - most patterns do not have any type of coverage for the thumb. The patterns are true to the title of the book - "Wrist" warmers.

Gift for a friend, so I don't know for sure. But she liked it. A LOT
I got this as a gift for a friend who makes wrist warmers. I think she liked the book a lot.

International Measures
I've been knitting some 50 years and found the needle/yarn sizes difficult to translate to U.S. Measurements. The suggested yarns and their descriptions are not how the local stores sells them. I'm guessing this book was written in Brittain. I successfully guess at sizes and was able to knit a lovely pair of warmers. So, the patterns are good.

Great little book with lovely patterns
Delivered quickly and in good condition- I love this little book as it has some quite straight forward fingerless gloves to knit including a Christmassy pair which Iβm making now whilst I recover from a winter virus- my only gripe is that there are no patterns using double pointed needles/circular method
