Make Sure It's Level
Let me first say I didn't have any issues with this. I just had an observation after getting my TV mounted. This is the second wall mount I've used in my home. The other is on a smaller TV in my bedroom for which I used a cheaper brand mount. Despite being cheaper, this other mount has a safety feature this Sanus doesn't and it blows my mind. There's no stopper on the mount in case you slide the TV too far to stop it from falling off the end. It would be easier to do this than you think. There's not a lot of room to see behind the mounted TV, so your spouse is having you slide it right or left to get it where they want it. You think you can see the end, all of a sudden you push the far bracket off the mount and the weight of the TV is left on the one bracket, breaking it or the mount or both and everything ending up broken in the floor. I also imagine this could happen if the TV wasn't mounted perfectly (or near perfectly) level. I'd think that after a period of people slamming doors and stomping by, one day it's going to just slide right off theend. This one missing safety feature made me knock a star off the rating. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase.Notes: We actually didn't fix the mount directly into the studs in my wall, but put up a 3/4 inch slab of quality plywood. We screwed this piece into three studs, 4 screws in each stud, and then mounted the Sanus mount on this plywood. It worked well as it let us offset the mount from where it would have been, and we didn't have to worry about hitting the studs perfectly with the lag bolts (that come with the mount). My 70" Sharp Aquos TV weights around 90 pounds, and I was concerned that if we drilled the studs directly and didn't get all holes perfectly on center that the TV would pull the mount from the wall. No worries about that now. It's worth considering this method if you have a heavy TV like I do.

MLT13-B1 Sanus fits Samsung 46"
Purchased this tilt TV wall mount for a Samsung 46" flat screen TV. Directions EZ to follow. Hardest part was deciding height to install mount/TV. Settled with middle of TV at 63". Mount bracket has multiple slots to allow all 4 lag bolts to attach to wall studs. Once bracket was secured to wall, I was able to hang from it. Bracket kit comes with multiple size bolts and spacers to accommodate different TV backs. I had to cut down M8 bolts (too long) in order to use the spacers to offset the TV from the vertical brackets. Once TV was mounted onto wall bracket, the bottom securing bolts were too short. These bolts kept TV from being lifted from wall bracket but did not lock onto bracket. TV could be slid side to side along the bracket. I installed 2 longer 1/4-20 bolts to actually tighten onto the bottom rail of the wall bracket to eliminate and accidental sliding. Great product, great price. Definitely recommend!

Excellent product!
Great product. It just feels like a good, sturdy mount when you pick it up and look it over. For those that complain that it's a pain to get access to connections in the back, yeah it is, but it's supposed to be close to the wall as possible so that is to be expected. Same with the tilt control access. I set them and made the cable attachments then put it on the wall. Also the lag bolts worked fine for my application. I've broken off my fair share of lag bolts in my day and the one thing to keep in mind is that to stop tightening them once the mount and locking washers are seated. Those one or two extra turns that you think will keep it mounted in what ever earthquake that may befall your homestead will cost you in the long run.Only complaint I have was that I needed to get 4 extra washers to mount my Samsung 60" LED as the kit only supplied 4 and 4 spacers and the bolts were just an 1/8" to long for it.

Nice heavy duty mount.
Originally I didn't want to spend that much money on a mount since there are so many cheaper option. However the thought of having my brand new tv falling off the wall just didn't sit well with me. Hence the reason I purchase this mount knowing that it will be well made. I had other Sanus product before and this company never disappointed me and this holds truth for this mount also. The mount is made of thick heavy duty metal and well finished. To install, it would probably be best to have a helper to hold the mount up while marking the bolt locations. I highly suggest mounting the mount to stud to take advantage of the weight that this mount can support. I honestly think this mount can support a bigger tv than 70".The only draw back i see is that it isn't long enough to reach three studs, but that just me wanting it be as overbuilt at possible.

Nice solid mount
Nice solid mount. Holds my 55" Panny plasma without flexing. It would rate 5 stars if the plastic knobs to lock in your tilt held tighter and were more accessible with the tv hung.. If the tv is heavy, the knobs need to be tightened down pretty firmly to keep it where you want or it creeps down, but you can't get your hand in to do this. I set my tv where I wanted it, and with the help of a second person then carefully lifted it off the wall, tightened the knobs and rehung.

smooth tilt action; made crooked.
I purchased 5 of these. I had used some very much like it in the past, but had forgotten the problem I had had with them before. One or more of the bends is in slightly the wrong place, because the screen is not parallel to the wall. If you look at the mount just sitting on a table, you will see that it is made crooked. It was necessary to shim one side with two washers at both screws in order to get the screen oriented parallel to the mounting surface. I didn't open all 5 boxes, but the first two I opened are like that.It tilts well with smooth action, but if you are concerned with details like having the screen parallel to the wall, it may be necessary to shim these mounts.

Very well made, but......
Bought this for a wall mounted TV in my daughters room. The construction is first rate as it usually is with Sanus mounts ( I have 4 of them ). Lots of extra bolts to fit any TV out there. My only disappointment is how far the TV sits from the wall. It tilts easily and holds its position with no problem. I still would recommend it just be prepared for the TV to sit about 4 to 5 inches away from the wall when its all said and done.

Poor value
Very disappointing. Does not fit my TV (Samsung 6400) and wall fixings are next useless. Several trips to B & Q and £15 later I have been able to mount the TV, but I really shouldn't have had to at this price. Product itself is very sturdy, but too big for anything smaller than 48 inches. I wouldn't buy again.

Very good
Had no problem putting my samsung 37 inch tv on wall mount. Came with different brackets to screw onto back of tv so should hopefully be suitable for any other make of tv I purchase.
