Sierra Tools JB5374 Deluxe Cordless 58-Inch LED Anywhere Lamp

The LED light panel apparently shifted during shipping. I had to take it apart and re-set the lights. Once assembled again, the lights are pretty bright, but typical of LEDs, shine forward only - no "throw". So, what you hope to see needs to be directly under the light beam. The goose neck is relatively short, so in a seated position, the light head tends to be between your eyes and the object to see. The reflection of the intense LEDs is like a laser into your retina... and this is with a Kindle... pity the iPad or Nook readers. Paper pages read well. All in all, an OK product, especially for the price.

I bought this lamp to put next to a chair in my office where there isn't a plug. It works fine but doesn't give off a lot of light. You have to aim it at your book to read it, but it does the basic job. It is better than not having a lamp at all and I am still glad I got it. I would not recommend it for a place where you sit and read often because the light is just not strong enough to be comfortable for long periods.

I'm satisfied with this lamp. We've had several loss of electricity episodes since I have lived here in the mountains of Western NC and the lamp provides light enough to navigate. I'm a bit disappointed that it really isn't bright enough to read by, but well worth the small price I paid for it.

good idea, mobile and uses reg batts., but still needs more lumens and more flexible neck. maybe even running off of a mixture of batt sizes.

I haven't read many good reviews on cordless lamps, but I really like mine. It puts light where you need it. The light does not fan out, it projects onto the book or sewing material where needed. It is bright enough and the batteries last.

I was very happy to finally find a cordless lamp for an area where I could not use a cord. However, I have been quite disappointed with this product. The light it provides is very weak and covers a very small part of the reading material. I have to keep twisting my body to have it shine where I want.

It meets our needs of providing light for reading in a dark area without lighting the entire room however it goes through the batteries quickly. It should be sold with the adapter cord for a better product.

I ordered this lamp for reading and using the laptop when in a recliner that is not near a wall outlet and in the middle of the room.It assembles easily, the base seems stable and sturdy however the gooseneck top does not stay in place and the light output is quite low. Magazine print is hard to read with just this lamp. Also the light output is not adjustable (not that you'd want it any lower).I'll keep it as an emergency lamp (earthquakes) since the battery operation is safer than a candle but I think the candle would put out more light.This lamp is a big pile of poo.
