Clean Install
Don't be ghetto and let your 5th wheel or gooseneck cables drape over your bed, do it right and keep your cables in the best shape possible too! A little tricky with a short box, but the instructions were spot on and I disassembled the harness head to get it to fit behind the tail light, then used the template to correctly socket the wires back in. Clean factory look.

I dislike where the instructions say to put the plug so I did it my own way and was pleased. Works as advertised and is fairly easy to install in less than an hour.

Very easy install!The hardest part was deciding where to mount it. The instructions have you go through the wall behind the tail light but with my truck, 2016 Ram 3500 Dually, it was impossible as the inside wall didn't line up. Once I got the right hole saw, everything went smooth. Dummy me tried a wood hole saw first. Guess what, it didn't work! Used a deburring bit to take off the sharp edge and finished by painting the bare metal to protect from rust.Cable routing was easy with plenty of room to run it to the rear trailer plug. Great product.

Seems expensive, but worth it.
I tried to do this once by buying the individual components. Saved some money, but wasn't close to worth the frustration. (The wiring involved is very heavy gauge and very hard to splice securely.) This kit is "plug and play" and the only remaining issue is making the hole for the plug to fit into the bed. That requires a small metal cutting saw that will fit into the location selected for the hole.

Pinouts were incorrect
I for the life of me couldn't figure out why my camper lights weren't working like my truck lights. After a little head scratching I realized that the 5th wheel plug end was pinned incorrectly. I removed the mismatched pins and organized the correctly in the socket and it works great now. Only 3 stars because for the price, it should have been right the first time....
