In my older (40's) house, many of the outlets are two prongs. This led to a rather unsafe use on my part with extension cords connected to power strips. (One two pronged outlet served TV, cable connection, answering machine/phone and a lamp). This replaced a messy tangle of cords and appears safer as well. This purchase does exactly what I wanted it to do with its several grounded outlets as well as providing USB ports for phone chargers etc.

Parents house is a bit old so outlet are the two prong. Purchased one because it is a two prong in and they hook up their more "current" electronics with the 3 prong outlets. I hate the adapters, not that they have ever caused a problem but in my mind I think they are dangerous. So this seemed reasonable. Works great so I have purchased 2 more.

Set this in my desk, plugged it in and now able to corral all my cards for computer, light, Cricut machines
