CRAFTSMAN V20 Cordless Finish Nailer Kit, Nail Gun, 16GA, 2-1/2 Nails, Battery and Charger Included (CMCN616C1)

I used this tool to construct the end walls on my commercial greenhouse. Being in a remote location the use of big heavy air tanks was not possible, or at least not convenient. I used this without the need for tanks or air hoses and it performed flawlessly. It has never jammed on me or let me down. My wife uses it for craft projects and finds it much easier to work with, and more pleasant to work around because of the lack of air pumps screaming in your ear. Nice and portable, we can take it anywhere, in and out of the house and other places without consideration of a bigger tank-based air tool setup. If there is a framing nailer version of this, I gotta have it!

I bought it in January 2024 someone had problems and returned it, I just started in July 2024, it busted don't work,

So far it works well as advertised. My only complaint is on the packaging for shipping. The pack of assorted nails included in my kit, came apart in shipping and I had to clean up 100's of loose nails scattered all through the cardboard shipping box.

First one I’ve ever owned but I love it so much. I built a cabinet and it made everything so much easier I can’t believe I went this long without one.

I orginally purchase a green brand from a box store thinking it would be better... gun could not sink nails in cedar. Got my $$ back. Purchased this gun. Works great. It is heavy. I would not recommend for a professional. Installed 3/4 hardwood and 1 inch oak stair treads. No problem.

I bought this nailer bc I wanted the ability to shoot 2.5" nails into boards. That an easy task with the 16 GA model. Yes, it's a bit pricier than the 18 GA model, but you get what you pay for.- Charging was fast- Load nails from the bottom, slide lever to hold ... easy- Built-in safety lock- Comes with 50 2" and 2.5" nails (a bit of a misnomer since you only use thin steel wire "nails")- Cheaper than most comparable nailers- Made in the USA!- Smooth shooting- Not noisy, not heavyGreat job, Craftsman!

Been using this nailer for about 2 weeks. It's slower than my old DeWalt, meaning time between shot. the tool is somewhat lighter in weight. Nails sink nicely, no misfires, or jamming so far. The 2a battery it comes with, will last you the 2 hrs if doing baseboards. Charger that comes with it, is nice and compact. The belt clip isn't very useful. The nailer is too top heavy to use the belt clip. The only thing you will find yourself having to get used too, is the slower recoil/reload time.

Excellent does the job

We were doing renovations to the main floor, mid - winter, and rather then run a noisy compressor inside the house I decided to try this cordless battery model. It worked, it set every nail as required. Plus, you can take your time because there is no compressor running driving us crazy. But, it is electric so not quite the same as air driven; it is heavier and a tad bulky, plus a slight lag exists between strikes. If your used to air driven you will notice for a while, if this is your first, have at it as it works well. Conclusion. I would trade the quiet operation and ease of use of this cordless model over a noisy compressor model. As a bonus, I have other cordless craftsman tools that use the same battery.

Price is ok and it works awesome

Since I purchased this, I have trimmed out four doors and built four floating shelves with only one jam. It was very easy to remove the jam. This is a great product at a very reasonable price. I love it!
