Cannot be installed on bottom outlet
This adapter can only be installed on the top outlet because of the need to attach the green grounding tab to the plate screw. It cannot be installed on the bottom outlet because the prongs don't fit when turned upside down.We need this on the bottom outlet because the top outlet is connected to a light switch and we don't want other devices to be turned on/off with the light switch.

Should come with screws
I bought these for a house built in the 50's with mostly 2 prong outlets. The do work, bit if you want to attach them to a grounding screw it may take a little more effort. The middle screws that hold the outlet face plates on in my house are only just long enough for that. They cannot go in far enough to hold the adapter and the plate. This is partly because the loop on the adapters is about 1/8" away from the back of the adapter. I ended up having to scrounge up a longer screw and having to take the face plate off of the outlet to get a secure fit. Now I know why they design the single converter with a wire sticking out to attach to the outlet screw.

works well in older homes
The ability to plug in a grounded cord to the adapter that (by a screw grounding) fits non 3 prongs because the house was built 90 + years ago is a lot cheaper than replacing all the original baseboard receptacles and increasing the ability for more plugs at the same time.

Awesome product
I've been looking for something like this forever. My house was built in 1960, and the majority of outlets in the house are 2 prong, which is highly annoying (and I'm not stupid enough to touch anything that could fry me to change them). This is an economical, easy solution anyone can use to convert a 2 prong outlet into a 3 prong. I love them. Just make sure to remember to screw them down to minimize wiggling and ensure they are grounded.

Not well designed but works
Pretty much does the job as I need it to, but I'll echo other reviews complaints:1. The inputs are spaced too close together, so I can pretty much only use the outer two unless the plugs are tiny.2. The grounding pin is set about 1 mm or so from the back of the frame. As a result, when you plug it in the grounding pin sits 1mm away from the face of the outlet cover. Since the grounding screw on most outlets seems to be barely long enough, it can be tough to get the screw to meet the threads. I had to push extremely hard with the screwdriver to bend the grounding pin back to reach.Overall, it's cheap and does the job. You might be able to get a better quality and price at a hardware store but ordering on Amazon is convenient.

Perfect for my use
I had 3 outlets in this house that were only 2 prongs, the rest were 3 prongs. Most of the time I would have to relocate an item to be able to use it. Now with this adapter I am ready for the world. All I had to do was unscrew the screw on the face-plate and thread the screw through the opening on the 3 outlets and screw back in and I was ready for 3 prong plugs with additional outlets to boot. Thank you

You need longer screws
These don't come with screws. You're expected to use the existing ones on your outlet and those most likely won't work as they are too short. In order to get this thing grounded, you need the screw to go through the blue ring, and into your plate, and into the wall housing unit. You are going to need a screw that is about an 1/8 " longer than what is currently holding your plate in place as the blue ring is not flush with the plate.

Great For Fixed Installation
Keep in mind that these are intended for installing in a fixed location as proper grounding requires securing the adapter in place using the outlet plates mounting screw. This adapter mounts securely so that plugs can be removed easily without the entire adapter coming out of the outlet. However, if you're looking for something more portable, say for use while traveling, then go look elsewhere for a 3-prong adapter with a grounding prong.
