Update: Seller replaced. I gave my friend the new one, will check back with them in a few days.Disappointed in this locket. Gave as a gift, and was told the first time they wore it, the locket fell off the chain and got lost. Seemed good quality, but not attached well apparently. Wish I could get replaced.

I purchased it to my 12 y/o. daughter, that wanted one to keep her grandpa's pic on it after watching a movie of a girl with one with her mom's picture on it.My first thought was getting her one made of real gold, but she is not careful enough for a 500+ dlls piece of jewelry, so I decided to go cheap first.This locket comes with the chain, it is made of metal shinny gold tone, the chain is nice and not as weak/cheap looking like the other options in amazon. I paid $11.80, free shipping and I am very pleased. It is very nice, light weight, does not look like it is real gold, looks more like Claire's/Target jewelry, and it does not come with a case. It's packed on a little clear bag and blue plastic with a big "Made in China" label. I purchased the longer size of the chain and it's just right in the neckbone area so I think the smaller chain sizes would be too tight. I covered it with clear nail polish so the gold tone lasts a little longer. It does not come with a plastic or anything to protect the picture if you were expecting that.My daughter loved it. If my kid can find it after a couple of months and takes proper care of it, I may reconsider to get her a real one.

The chain broke an hour after I had it on and the locket is made of very flimsy metal.

The chain is very fine and the rose pattern is quite delicate, I gave it five stars does not mean it's this cheap find, but cause the really beautiful Rose Pattern on both side, and the length and the size of the china is reasonable, so that I could put a photo in of my daughter.Every elegant ladies and girls deserved it, strongly recommended it to a beautiful gift. And i will buy it again for my family members as a Christmas gift later. And the by the side, It came quickly fullfilled by amazon.

Really disappointed chain broke first day she wore it ugh

It's pretty and will serve the purpose. However. Description states it is sterling silver. I looked all over and could not find a stamp.

The chain and locket are very cheap looking and cheap feeling. Very disappointed.
