Fun for All Ages!
According to my GoodReads goal, I am 5 books behind. Since the books I am reading lately have been longer I decided now is the time to read some of my children's books. This one is delightful! The pictures are fun. It is bilingual. German first then English under. I was proud that I actually could read the German. There were a couple Questionables. Like, so far I've not seen a German contraction. But it was there.Though this starred a little girl, I think this would be a fun read for either gender. And just becuase it's a picture book doesn't make this simple. Adults can have fun, like I did, practicing either English or German while enjoying the story and fun creatures presented for comparison of large or small and extremes.

Disappointing
I jumped at the opportunity to get this book, which can be acquired in so many languages. It’s not bad, but it’s overpriced. The quality of the paper is great (soft!), but the illustrations and the content left MUCH to be desired. Yes, the reader can learn a few key words, but the vocabulary is mostly centered around adjectives of size, like gigantic and microscopic. There is no story, just the discovery of relativism and finding oneself to be “just right.” (To a giant, I am microscopic; to an insect I’m gigantic.). Don’t expect much.

We love this book
We own two versions of this book (English/Russian and English/German). My 3 year-old loves it for the story and the gorgeous pictures. My older kids love it because it helps them with their foreign language studies. They can read it to their little sister and get good practice.

Wonderful colors, images
Wonderful colors, images, and well written. Sadly I didn't read all of the information well enough so you can imagine my surprise when I thought I was ordering a hardcover book but instead received a paper book. That said, the paper used is of much higher quality. Therefore it is certainly harder to rip- a common problem when you give my toddler a book. Overall, I am very satisfied with this book and happy to share a bit of our German history with my son, beginning our journey in teaching him to be bilingual.

Too repetitive.
When I purchased this book, I figured, hey, it's for German-language speaking first graders so should be perfect for me.As it turned out, it was too repetitive. 'I am this.' 'You are that.' 'I am this.' 'You are that.'Not much to read. Really not much to learn at all.

Love this book!
I have been teaching my children German for some time now. I wanted to go from just doing flash cards to reading children's books in the language. This book is beyond perfect. It's easy to read, and easy to follow. The sentences are all short and when the time comes it'll be easy for my kids to read as well. Illustrations are also very cute. I totally recommend.

Fun For All!
I’m older than “the average bear” And decided to learn a little German. This book was fun to read aloud to my husband who understand German, and it was a great test for my newbie skills! An adorable read, great artwork, and wonderfully educational. I can’t wait to try it on my grandson. Five easy stars!

Unfortunate Illustrations
I liked the idea of the book and that it was in German for my bilingual toddler. Unfortunately, the illustrations are awful. Even for an adult it takes a moment to make out what it is you are seeing. To a small child it's just a bunch of colors that don't make any sense. Would not buy again.

Highly recommend for KS3!
Perfect for language teachers or parents of bilingual children. I absolutely love using this book in the classroom. Great for KS3 and KS4 students, as it practices idioms and a range of interesting and unusual adjectives. I would imagine that primary students would enjoy it too, as the English appears alongside the German on each page. I've used it to reinforce literacy and to allow students to be creative designing their own storyboards. Very tactile feel to the slim paperback and gorgeous, bright illustrations.

Great book
Nice size and great quality print. But that;s not the case...the best thing is that the book is bilingual! It helps so much when rising a child in mixed family! Pictures are eye catching and we have the same book in lithuanian-english too as our daughter (in a perfect scenario) will speak lithuanian/german/english. I'd say it's a must have! Thank you for the authors.

Lovely drawing, my students loved it
Super easy for German beginners. I'm a German teacher for kids and adults and used that book to inspire them to make their own little book. The results were amazing! It's so well made and sweet that the kids felt totally in love with the characters.

I imagine the creatures are great for his imagination
My little boy loves this as a bedtime story. It's colourful and quirky. I imagine the creatures are great for his imagination. He loves the caterpillar with the party hat on ha.I thought it would be uninteresting to a child, to be read to in another language, but he asks for 'Bin ich klein' and it melts my heart!Great book! We love it 😁
