Named after the legendary 15-mile stretch of sand cutting through the deep blue Bahamian waters where the Bluefin tuna migrate north, these Costa angler sunglasses are created to uncover and showcase the famous, underwater fish highway. With integral hinges, a patented vent system, polarized and made from tough-as-nails nylon, these men's performance fishing sunglasses won't be missing much.

Great deal. Bought at $185 and the sticker price ...
Great deal. Bought at $185 and the sticker price even came on the sunglasses case @ an MSRP of $249. I’m a fisherman by profession and know what the sunglasses are worth and what they cost and there is no where on earth other than Amazon, at least that I know of in the 25 years in the business, that you can buy the tuna alley costas with glass 580 lens for 185 bucks . Will buy again but doubt the offer will still be there.

Costa currently have no comparison or competition, they’re the best in the world
in the current market there’s nothing similar, they’re by far the best sunglasses I have used in my entire life, and I have used many ( from rayban, maui jim, okley and many more brands ) Costa del Mar has no competition or even close second, they’re a bit dark at first because they’re designed to protect the eyes from the reflection of the sun and the glare in the most extreme conditions, but you get used to it in a few minutes. I use it daily for driving, jogging, etc. I don't know how I could recommend these sunglasses even more, Costa del Mar is the best in the world ! Bravo

Was supposed to be glass but appears to be plastic
These were supposed to be glass but look and feel like plastic other than that they do there job but for the price I would have preferred to be glass as stated. Don't have time to play the send back and forth and all that game and contact everyone and there brother to get this resolved.

Crystal Frames with 580G Lenses - I totally love them!
I purchased these glasses after losing a prescription version of them, so this is my second pair, which should tell you that I really love these glasses. I originally bought them at the recommendation of my Optometrist since I am involved in boating, sailing, fishing, and snow skiing, all which reflect a great amount of sunlight. These glasses are designed to block out sunlight not only through the lenses, but the light that typically enters around the frames, so when you are wearing them, you get superior protection from the sun. My first pair had plastic 400-series lenses, while my second pair has the glass 580-series lenses. The plastic lenses are needed if you are getting a "progressive" prescription, which is what I had, and the plastics are supposedly lighter. I really don't notice any difference in weight with the glass lenses (they don't feel heavy), but they are noticeably clearer and supposedly more scratch resistant than the plastic (per the Costa del Mar website). There is a definite difference in the wavelength of light that gets through the 400 and 580 series lenses and according to the Costa del Mar website, the 580's block blue and yellow light to cut haze. To me, the 580 lenses definitely seem clearer than the 400 lenses, but I also went from plastic (400P) to glass (580G) lenses, so it's hard to tell if it was the change from 400 to 580 or from plastic to glass. In any case, the Tuna Alley glasses with the 580G lenses are awesome. They are comfortable (I have forgotten that I am wearing them and started to look for them!) and provide incredible sun protection. I personally think that the crystal frames with the blue finished lenses are super cool looking and I get lots of comments on them, but they come un a number of colors. While they don't really need a retainer to hold them in place, I would recommend one if you are fishing or boating. I lost a pair by putting them up on my baseball cap after sundown while cleaning the deck - not a good idea. I bought the Chums retainer with the large ends which work perfectly.

Fantastic Glasses - Even Better Seller
I needed these sunglasses for a trip to Florida when I broke my pair of Ocean Waves (those were good glasses too but their customer service is now substandard) and needed them in a hurry. I was so excited to not only see that they made it to my house before my trip but actually arrived a day earlier than promised. I am very grateful for finding merchants like this who actually care. Thank-you! Oh, and the glasses are beautiful. They are very light and cover my eyes very well. The clarity is unbelievable. They are so comfortable I have actually found myself driving with them still on when my headlights come on. I can't say enough about glasses or about Great Lakes Outpost.

Great vision just got better
So to start, these glasses are a little heavier than the polycarbonate lens version. That being said, also they are more scratch resistant. Comfort level is immediately noticed when put on. No sliding felt on the nose area and no loose feeling around the ears and temple areas that is commonly found on Spy and Oakley. These frames are built tough. Also the rubberlike material used doesnt grab your skin but gently rests on your skin and allows for good ventilation. I could not get the lens to fog up which for glass lens is pretty impressive. I must say, stoked about the quality of these glasses. Also got the polycarbonate lens version too. Review up there as well.

These are fakes and possibly used.
I recently ordered a pair of Costa Del Mar Tuna Alley sunglasses with the polarized copper mirrored plastic lenses. In retrospect the price was too good to be true. What I received were fakes as there was not a 580 engraved in the right lens (if you are wearing the glasses). This is the second pair of Cost Del Mar sunglasses I have purchased and immediately returned to Amazon as they were both cheap knockoffs. The packaging for both sets of sunglasses looked as if they were picked out of a recycling bin. One of the actual Costa Del Mar boxes appeared to have water damage and had a printed label NEW as if it was created on a home printer. The sunglasses themselves had signs of being used as there were no clear plastic sleeves on the arms which are typical for Costa Del Mar products as well as a sticker on the lens stating they were NEW.I usually have great services from Amazon.com but this one has slipped by their QC folks.I recommend purchasing Costa del Mar products directly from their website or a authorized dealer.

Amazing Difference!
I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Tuna Alley with 580g Blue Mirror. I've been wearing Oakley's for the last 15 years...when I put the Costa's on...It was amazing. My eyes were totally relaxed...not even a squint yet more light seemed to be coming in. I haven't been in the Ocean yet but they really paid off just looking at a manatee in a nearby canal. I'm super happy with the fit with my wide face and overall coverage. I don't even need to move the car's sun-visor to the side anymore. Go for it!
