Saves me a lot of money over the OEM replacement. Works just as well. Really cannot see muck other than price and I guess that is the important thing

This is a great alternative to the more pricey filters offered by Honeywell, and they work great in my house. In Arizona, we experience single digit humidity levels often and I consider a humidifier to be a necessity. I have a two story home with 2438 sq feet, with an open loft (workout area) at the top of the stairs. That's where I placed the humidifier, with a ceiling fan to disperse the air. I really saw no difference in the output of my humidifier (the HCM-6009, purchased via Amazon) with the Crucial Air filter compared to the Honeywell original. It's a good buy, and I will continue buying. Also, the 6009 is a superb humidifier for those looking. I have several thousand books in my personal library, and was worried about the bindings drying out and cracking, but no longer a concern with the HCM-6009, and my wood furniture is protected. I clean the filter occasionally, in my shower, and it lasts longer as a result. The humidified air also contributes to better sleeping --- so many advantages. i would not buy this again. It purports to be a Honeywell filter but is not. That would be fine if it worked as well, but it doesn't. I used to get the real Honeywell filter (with the blue outside), which worked well, but was more expensive. This one does not really filter. The humidifier empties within only a few hours for the first few days, then the filter just seems to give up completely. After only two weeks or so, the humidifer takes several days to empty!With the real, better-quality Honeywell filter, it was much more stable. The humidfier would empty about once a day, and worked like this for at least three weeks before slowing down a bit.

Getting filters for my old Honeywell/Kaz HCM-6009 was insane, with people asking $90 for replacements. These work great and my eyes and sinuses were very, very happy. I cannot be sure but these might be slightly short compared to the originals, which I do not have to compare. In any event they seemed to work great.

Huge quality difference between the original filters and this one. It appears to be half as thick, and poorly glued together. There is a huge seam in mine and it has been falling apart quickly. Normally I always buy 3rd party stuff because it's a lot cheaper for the same product. But this poor excuse for quality control was a complete waste of money. I can't give it one star because it is technically doing its job, but I will likely have to throw it out quicker. In fact I'd like to already because it's so fallen apart at this point, but I can't justify the cost.

These filters really do clean the air. My unit is next to the bed and I use it every nite whether I need the humidity or not.It is a surprise when I check the filter and see the water every so often changing color.Filters rinses clean easily....and it lasts about two years for me.
