Almondee California Almond Butter - 16 Ounce Jar

My husband considers himself to be a "connoisseur" of almond butter and is always on the lookout for the best. When I came across Almondee on Amazon, I decided, on a while, to give it a try. It is fantastic! My husband took one taste and asked me to order three more because he knew it would sell out. No palm oil, no added salt or sugar... just almonds. Texture is creamy and so easy to stir. So wonderful to have a high-level product made here in the U.S. Can't recommend it enough!

This almond butter is perfect! We are a GF mostly vegan household that loves almond butter. We only buy it if it has two or less ingredients, almonds and sometimes salt. It's funny how even with almond being the only ingredient how different the butters can taste and spread.This is by far the best one we've had. I'm pretty sure we've tried them all.The taste is pure and delicious, the butter spreads well and it stays mostly mixed in the fridge.What sets it apart is the even consistency. It's not overly ground which can make butters too oily. It also seems somehow more satiating than others. I only need one tablespoon on fruit to feel full.My 10 year olds really like the flavor and that it doesn't good.out of rice cakes the way some do.Well done & worth the extra$$!

I usually don't enjoy natural unsweetened nut butters, but this has been a great addition to my diet. It's tasty enough to eat alone without making crazy faces because it needs sugar. It's pretty smooth with very tiny bits of almond inside. There is a bit of separation of oil and butter, but with a simple stir, everything is a nice consistency again. I really like that there are no additives or ingredients besides almonds. I can add this stuff to a healthy shake or smoothie and get a bit more thickness without any weird after-taste. I'd buy this again.

I'm just always so happy with this product. It never lets me down, not once since I've found it and started ordering it. It's always fresh. The expiration date is never two days from when it's been bought. The taste is always consistant, and you know what it's like when you buy something and the quality gradually starts to slip. Not this stuff. And with my disease I can't eat a lot of things, even natural things seem to bother me sometimes, I'm very sensitive, this stuff never bothers me. Not ever. It looks exactly as pictured. Very smooth, but with extra fine little almond specs. It's a good textural balance.A bit of a workout to stir the nut oils through it, but not if you turn it upside down for an hour or so, then it's quick and easy. It doesn't start to separate again once it's been stirred and refrigerated. And yes, you must put it in the fridge. It's all good, because it's not a struggle to scoop it once it's fridge-temp.

This almond butter is very good but I had to move on to other products due to the frequency of leaks. Dealing with a jar covered in almond oil is not fun. I have never had a problem with leaking jars from other almond butter brands from Amazon. I hope they can correct this issue.

***I want to update my original review... I purchased the double pack of Almondee because it was so good. The double packs are Impossible to stir. I had to dump it in my food processor to mix it, then scoop it all back into the jar. I went back to the single purchase jars - no problems mixing. Strange (???) Anyway, I recommend purchasing the single jars not the double pack jars.This is, by far, hands down, the BEST almond butter on the market. No added oil, sugar, easy to stir & maintains consistency. Some other brands have too much oil or is pasty hard near the bottom of the jar.I am so glad I tried Almondee! This item is going on my auto ship subscription! Highly recommend!!

Nuts and seeds are great sources of protein, as well as other nutrients. Following a mostly plant-based diet, I try to incorporate as much plant-protein as I can. But I also have diverticulosis. Eating whole nuts can wreak havoc with that, causing grimace-inducing spasms. The best solution: Seed- and Nut-butters. But I don’t want anything added. To paraphrase: “The nut, the whole [ground-up] nut, and nothing but the nut.”And Almondee provides that. It also has tiny bits of almond in the mostly creamy smooth butter, which gives me a chance to chew. But the bits are so small that, even if I swallow them, they don’t trigger an attack.The hard part: Stopping at two tablespoons. Now, if they’d just come up with an auto-locking lid, which, if it detects almond-butter on your breath, it won’t open … that would be ideal. As it stands, I shall have to work on my will-power.

I am very disappointed in this product. The fact that there were no additives was my incentive to buy it. I already had an unopened bottle of another brand on hand, but it contained a number of additives besides palm oil. Today I opened the first bottle of the new California almond butter as I scraped the last of the previous brand onto my toast. As I stuck the metal spatula spreader in this new bottle, it met no resistance at all on its way to the bottom of the jar. I was looking at a jar of more almond oil than ground up almonds. So I opened the jar from the cabinet of the brand I had been using and stuck the same spatula in. It stood bolt upright in the middle of the jar. In this California brand it had immediately tilted to lean on the rim. I spread a very oily substance on my toast. I will probably continue using this brand, since my old brand has a gazillion additives in it, but I am very disappointed in the ratio of liquid to solid in this pure almond ingredient brand.
