Very Nice Power Center
These things keep getting better. Remove the screw from the wall plate but leave the wall plate on the outlet. this gives more surface contact when you screw the device to the outlet. This also gives yu and additional 1/4 clearance between the power center and the wall which allows me to plug in my Motorola Turbo Charger. Not that the turbo charger is needed as there are two charger outlets but there are times when a rapid 15 minute charge means everything. There is a green LED power indicator and the 2 USB ports light up green too. My house is full of red, green, and blue led night lights on electronic devices. Side mounted receptacles is great behind furniture. But on a wall you have the added feature of two pull out phone trays for use with the chargers.

Very Useful. Didn't last
I thought this was the best thing since pockets. Installed on a kitchen outlet no where near water and really loved the side plugs- keeps the counter neat and I put my bluetooth stereo in front of it. Really loved it. Didn't last three years. USB stopped charging, plugs stopped working. Started to get hot at random intervals. Removed for safety. Put a standard surge protector strip on the outlet until I found a replacement and there were not issues whatsoever so it was definitely the unit.

right now 2 USBs are good to keep the area from getting too cluttered
We use this all the time to charge our phones. There is a slot for holding a phone, doesn't work too well for my phone which is encased in an otter box for protection, my phone is too bulky and it's tight under the USB cable cords too. It works well for my husband's iPhone (w/ thin casing). I can rest my phone on the top of the unit with no problems. We thought two USB outlets would be enough, but we find ourselves charging the iPad, external batteries, and other random stuff in between phone charges. Despite that, right now 2 USBs are good to keep the area from getting too cluttered.I like the regular outlets on the side, we use those everyone once in a while too.

!!!DANGER!!! FIRE HAZARD!!!
DANGER!!!! We purchased this when it was its last brand and then this one on this brand. The first brand (exact same design) first stopped working in the left USB port, then it melted and turned brown. It was overheating really badly. We thought we were safe with our second one, being a different brand, but I just looked at it, and sure enough, the same left USB port is melting. So scary!

Good idea held back by poor design decisions.
It's ok, not great. Because the outlets are on the side they won't accommodate anything much wider than a standard cord plug. The pull out rests are a nice feature but the lower one doesn't pull out far enough to hold even a standard smart phone (Galaxy S3) with a thin case - the problem is it comes up against the USB plug. (Raising the USB outlets would have solved this issue). Speaking of which, it would have been nice if the "Power Canter" would have come with a couple of short white USB charging cords - using a standard cord (especially a pair of them) results in a lot of clutter. One last note: not shown in the Amazon product photo is a blazing green light that is bright enough to function as a night light - too bright for a typical bedroom setting unless that's what you're looking for. It's on all the time, and somewhat annoying.

Works great as a charging station
This PowerXcel power center has been serving us well as a charging station in the corner of the kitchen for over a year and half now. It was so easy to take out a screw on the outlet cover and pop this in and screw it up tight and then have 6 outlets and 2 USB ports replacing 2 outlets. This way we can charge our phones, tablets, Bluetooth speakers, and everything else that needs to be charged all in one place. I particularly like the top phone holder that slides out to hold a phone. On the downside, it does feel pretty cheap (but it has been working for over 1 year and a half) and the outlets on the side of the power center will only take standard plugs or small charger blocks - larger transformers will not fit.

Good Purchase ;)
So far so good. I got it faster than I thought I would. I took it out of the package and plugged it in. I have a galaxy s5 and since this phone fits I would say anything smaller works. It does have a green light the lights up when you plug it in but not enough light to bother anyone. I plan on purchasing one for each plug in my house. On a side note I do wish you could get different color lights. It glows green so I wish there were color options of maybe blue pink red white etc. Just a thought. Glad I purchased this product.

Not only USB but a convient phone shelf.
The construction is good. The outlet configuration on the ends is very convenient not protruding out. The little phone shelf is wide enough to even fit an otter box case and can be pushed back in when not using it.. It fits tightly into the socket and includes the retaining screw and a 2nd plastic ground pin for added stability. 2 USB ports and a surge protector, note the green indicator light is quite bright.
