This is a perfect side dish when we eat Chinese dumplings. Thank you, Amazon, for selling it so that we no longer have to drive 30 miles to an Asian market to buy it.

Excellent product, but at four or five times the price as in an Asian market. Ow!

I ordered 3 of theses at once. Two were fine and the bamboo delicious. While the 3 jars were still wrapped together, it was spotted that the lid of one jar had not sealed down tightly like the others. I unwrapped the jars and tested the one suspicious one. The lid came right off. Either it had been opened before it was sent to me or it never sealed at the factory. While the food inside smelled normal, I threw the jar away.The other two jars were in great condition, and I've enjoying eating the bamboo with rice.

This product came as advertised and is better than canned bamboo in my opinion

This is far from popular ramen toppings (seasoned bamboo shoot called "Memma"). Reading good reviews - e.g., it's good for ramen toppings, it's crispy and tasty, it's much better than canned bamboo shoot - misled me to think this is a different version of classic memma seasoned with soy sauce and rah-yu (red chili pepper infused oil). This is not rectangle chunks of bamboo shoot, but it is sliver. Accordingly, it's not crispy. It's not seasoned so it's not ready to eat like Memma. It's drenched in red oil, which is not hot (so I doubt it's authentic rah-yu which is hot).

The product (came in a glass jag) is well packaged and protected. Excellent proc=duct from Taiwan. I've just placed another order of the same.

Terrible taste. The bamboo shoots are soft an mushy. I have other brands that are much better.

Adds a uniquely tasty subtlety to many Asian dishes, noodles, soups.
