Very impressed. The detail, down to the toes and fingers. So many chances for something to break and it was perfect on arrival. Saw the original in the Borghese Gallery. Before seeing this statue I had zero interest in statues. They all looked like worn out bars of soap, cracked, arms & heads missing. I realize this statue is not nearly as old or abused as others I've seen. Seeing this changed everything for me. The fingers of Pluto/Hades pressing into the flesh, the detail was jaw dropping. If you have not seen this for yourself - go. When you want to keep a bit of that beauty around the house buy this. I am very happy.

It would be impractical to expect an exact replica under $500.00, but they got really close for $130.00. No casual viewer would be able to spot any differences, in fact I bet even most fans of the real statue would have a very hard time telling what was details were missed without reference pictures at hand. I can't imagine a fan of the original work not being happy with this reproduction.

I once saw the real statue in Italy and have always loved it. This reproduction is even more beautiful than I'd hoped for. At 14" high it seems a bit taller than I thought it would be, but overall it is really quite stunning and very detailed. The facial details, the curls of Pluto's hair and beard, the folds of Persephone's dress, the delicate hands and toes (even with nails as a detail), and best of all, Pluto's fingers pressing into her flesh and showing the dimples of the pressure just as in the original, just a beautiful beautiful reproduction from every angle and this is a statue that must be viewed from all angles. This statue was packed in a box labeled "Studio Collection" by Veronese Design, and I was a bit shocked when it was delivered within 2 days by Fed Ex (I have Amazon Prime) without any outer box to further protect and cushion it. Inside the box, the statue was firmly wedged into a thick molded foam protection custom made for the statue and box so the fit was tight (statue also wrapped in plastic), yet there certainly must have been a great possibility of breakage considering the statue's delicate fingers, Persephone's raised arm, and flowing material that also sticks out from the statue. At this price, I'm just surprised the box didn't have a substantially padded outer box as well. Fortunately, my statue arrived in perfect condition and I'm really beyond pleased.

I'm a huge fan of Bernini and when I chose Pluto & Proserpina first, I was wondering about of quality of it. But after this amazing sculpture came, (in 2 days) I was astonished by the exquisite details right down to the fingernails, and best of all, Pluto's fingers pressing into the flesh os Prosperina, and showing the dimples of the pressure just as in the original, or even Proserpina's tear is visible. So rightway I bought Apollo & Daphne. Frankly. I'm really beyond pleased and I'm waiting patiently for the second one.

Beautiful miniature replica of the original. But a tad bit expensive for the size. Also I paid in pounds but got the receipt in dollars instead (which would have been cheaper in pounds after conversion)

I was disappointed in the proportions of the body parts which made the statue look not in the right scale. I found the price I paid for what I got was not justified.
