Just Motifs: 50+ Crochet Patterns (Tiger Road Crafts) Kindle Edition

I was not sure what to expect when I opened this book, but I was very pleased with the contents. The book assumes that you know how to crochet already, so she doesn't waste pages on stitch tutorials. She does, however, review three methods of starting rings. The book follows a simple format: a picture of 2, 3, or 4 similar motifs followed by the directions for each. On my Kindle Fire, these pictures are in great color, and I can see the details. Because there are fifty motifs, I found several I loved, several I knew already, and a few I won't use. In other words, there is something for everyone here. Some are simple (granny squares), and some are more challenging (delicate lacey ones). I know my daughter will be begging me to make the hearts when she sees them. I like that nearly all of the pages are dedicated to the actual patterns, so you get what you are paying for. My only suggestion for improvement is that it could use a table of contents for ease of reference. I overcame that by bookmarking my favorites, however. I would certainly recommend this.

This book actually had what I have been searching & searching for; several actual octagonal motifs. As opposed to all the hexagon ones people call octagonal. The author calls them round, but at least two are octagonal. I very much like that the author presents both the adjustable loop and the chain and join as viable options. Also, clear instructions are given for the adjustable loop. My only qualms (before buying) was that the description on Amazon was not very informative.

By far this is the best ebook of crocheting motifs that I've found. Usually for the price it's offered at, there's no photos, or if there are, they're grainy and super tiny. This book actually looks like the author cares about her craft, and the people who feel the same frustration when looking for quality instructions to be read on their Kindle. Thank you so much for this book, I can't wait to get started and make amazing things with these patterns!

Love this book. So many to choose from, not enough time in the day. All the motifs featured make you want to grab the hook and yarn and do all of them at once. The instructions are nice and clear. A beginner could easily do these motifs. In fact, doing these would help the beginner hone in on their skills. I highly suggest purchasing this book to add to your collection. I think all Crochet addicts need this in their library of patterns and in a few as their current WIP.

Lots of different motifs, will be using the book a lot. For older folks, it would be nice to have a larger book with larger print.

Good basic instructions. Plenty of example of different motifs. Round, square, triangle, flowers, etc. Would work of someone with some experience. Will surely help build their understanding.

Great selection and easy to read instructions. Great if you are learning how to crochet. Lots of different designs to choose from.
