Works great for what I wanted! holds bag open for me... our interest in this product is because we buy meat in large family packages or sams club in large packages.... then split them up for us old folks of 2 --- hahaha I just hated having meat juice on my hands and having to "OPEN" up the bag to put the portions in!! just felt it was leaving room for bacteria to grow!! so this just solves it! it keeps the bags open while i distribute portions and then after washing... I can seal them up!Bought 2 of these to have one at the sink on the counter all the time... I just use the vegetable bags from the grocer in there.... then when cooking I have easy access for onion peels, trimming of veggies or meats, then scrape dishes into after the meal... while cleaning the kitchen when done, just tie up the bag & toss it... keeps can cleaner too!Another thing I use for this as well is "used" zip bags.... sometimes what was in it was not really 'dirty', and even after washing them you may not feel like putting food back in them.... just save them to use for the waste!!FYI: I have even put bags onto the frame and then put them on the top rack of the dishwasher upside down... washed the bag and then all you gotta do is set it up to wait for its next use!

I didn't realize how handy this little gadget would proove to be. When I ordered I was thinking in terms of using it for the wet garbage as suggested by other reviewers. THEN I made a big pot of soup with the intention of freezing it in smaller portions and WOW--the "Amazimg Arm" really earned a top spot on my list of "handy kitchen tools". I just clipped the top edges of a quart-sized freezer bag into the arms and adjusted the height, The mouth of the bag was securely held open enough for me to ladle relatively hot soup into the bag without making a mess. When I unclipped the top edges, the bag remained upright between the arms long enough for me to seal without the contents spilling and running. (I still don't know how that was possible with hot soup in a plastic bag!) No mess at all. In the past I've had to freeze soup in plastic cartons---I only have a few due to limited storage space---and then later remove the frozen contents to place in a baggie for longer term storage in the freezer so I could have my cartons available for short-term leftovers in the refrigerator...very time-consuming with lots of cleanup. The Amazing Arm saved me considerable time and effort. I'm very pleased with this item!

Amazing Arm is great! When I need help to put food away I say to my husband sitting on the couch watching TV, "No need to get up honey, Amy will help me" I thank Amy all the time out loud. LOL. I purchase several of these for my girlfriends and they have purchased for their friends. Handy item to have in the kitchen. Now you can hold pan with one hand and scrape pan clean, while Amazing Arm holds the baggie for you. I also use for scraps and egg shells that I put in freezer until trash day. I put one arm much higher than the other while preparing food and just toss scraps into a baggie.
