Babushka Baba Yaga

I loved reading it. A great book for grandparents.

This is a very sweet story to tell the kids while turning the negative connotations about Baba Yaga around.The story is about Baba Yaga wishing to be a grandmother but is afraid to reach out and connect with people due to the scary stories people tell about her. Then one day she disguised herself and went to the village.My kids are currently 4 and 6 and enjoy this book.

PP's books are always beautiful, enthralling & always teach a good lesson! This one takes an old scary story and makes it beautiful! I chose to add to my Polacco collection since I'm becoming a Mimi soon!Polacco books aren't always an easy read, but always a great read aloud!

My granddaughter and I loved this story. We read it so many times we had it memorized. Overall it is a beautiful story about the bond of love between grandmothers and their grandchildren. However, it also teaches about the meanness of gossip.

Always loved Patricia Pollock. Used to read her books to my children when they were little. But this is my favorite of hers. I bought a new copy for my first grandchild, another one for me.It teaches about sensitive and acceptance with differences

I love Patricia Polacco. Her illustrations are beautiful and held my interest as a child like no other.Now that all my friends are starting to have children, I'm hoping to gift each child with a Polacco book.Babushka Baba Yaga is my favorite because of the important lessons. Never judge people by how they look or the gossip that's going around town. It's an excellent story for children to remind them to keep an open mind, and not judge a book by its cover. It also stresses empathy--that's a big one. :)

Beautiful story, beautiful illustrations. You can't go wrong with a Patricia Polacco book.

Love this book! Great story to teach theme.

Some very important life lessons, presented with gorgeous artwork - about the very last Babushka Baba Yaga who, thanks to christianity, and ignorance has been villified over the years. This precious story brings us back to her true essence and nature.We really loved this book in our homeschool studies on culture - I will be buying this for each of my future Grandbabies in the future, from their very own Babushka "Babs".

ONe of the most beautiful book what i have ever been reading.My children love it too.Of course the story brings up some questions and that also means has a message.
