Perfect Fit 2008 Acura TL
Arrived in good shape, like the individual plastic zip lock. Same as OEM in 2008 Acura TL. The pain in removing the bumper. Has been working fine for 2 weeks. Will update later if something happen.Note: As several have mentioned, remember to remove the outer gasket from the old ballast and install in the new one before you connect the igniter. The igniter connection seal is included but not the outer gasket around the ballast neck.

The best $400 you can get for $40.
This is my initial review of this unit that I purchased to repair my 03 Acura CL Type S. A decently rare car, that luckily for me had a ballast made for it specifically by the manufacturer for it and no other car, so... my options are a touch limited. $400, or something like this. The good news is that every car up to this point is still rocking 12V off of the battery. If you've got that to work with, you can move forward. On my car, the cable coming in from the battery bounces off of a contact and then down to the OEM ballast using two different types of plugs, one smaller, one larger per Honda's setup. The smaller one coming in from the battery and wiring harness was able to plug directly into the aftermarket ballast and work fine.Your only real issue here is more than likely going to be where you mount it. In my case, someone had already replaced my OEM ballast with an admittedly even worse aftermarket one that they had just glued onto the bottom of my headlight assembly. I removed it and epoxied this one on as I had just about the same luck as everyone else here did of not having my screw holes line up... at all. I would recommend that you do part of the epoxy and installation at the same time. I know it'll be tricky but there's no guarantee that everything will fit perfectly unless you have some wiggle room, and there's no wiggle if the epoxy you use is already dry.The only downside to any of this is having to practically take an angle grinder to your headlight assembly in the next five years when the ballast you just epoxied dies. Might just do four corners or just a dab in the middle. Be gentle with epoxy if you want to save yourself headaches in the future.BUT HOW WELL DOES IT WORK?The unit comes with a little optional grounding wire that bounces off of the actual D2 socket that the bulb goes into. There is a light inverter whine from inside the unit when it's running unless you ground it out to the car chassis. I tested this on my car while I was working on it and I plan to drill a small hole in the cap of the headlight so it can be routed to a screw connected to the metal on the car for ground. As far as longevity, I can't tell you anything about that as I haven't even driven the car yet since working on it, but I will be updating this review as things go along as I know getting any help or resources on pre-2004 cars these days can be a bit iffy and if anyone comes by here and sees that this worked on a CL, they might jump for joy. It's working right now in my driveway. Six months from now? We'll see.Ease of install: 7/10While removing my bumper with a 10mm socket and replacing plastic clips wasn't exactly hard, it was involved. Give yourself about two hours, maybe a touch more just to make sure everything goes back together. Your car won't be going anywhere for a while.Ease of use: 10/10You plug it in, you attach a bulb, it fires. There's no setup or programming. If you can provide it 12V and get it wired to it, it will fire. Done deal.Longevity: to be determined...

The ballast and igniter failed after only 2 months
The ballast and igniter failed after only 2 months. The seller would not refund me because I purchased it thru Amazon. Buy a different product, this one is not worth it.
