Excellent head torch
The media could not be loaded. This head torch was purchased for my early morning walks. I can be out for up to 2 hours in darkness, on open roads, pathways and along a river bank that goes through wooded areas. The overall comfort is OK but will depend on your tolerance of wearing a head torch. I can wear it for 2 hours without it feeling uncomfortable. The quality of light is better than an of my other head torches with no hot spots and an even illumination. The brightness is good enough to walk in complete darkness and the app allows easy selection of a suitable program or you can make your own. This involves setting 3 levels of continuous light and 3 for the variable sensor mode. Programs for hiking to mountain climbing are available from the app. Battery life is good enough for me, a 3 hour walk with the power on maximum on sensor mode left 60% charge at the end of the walk. It seems to have good water resistance, I have been out in heavy driving rain and it worked fine.

Fantastic running head torch
Fantastic head torch for running , fits securely on head and is very easy to adjust during run .I use the light on full power and usually run for 45 minutes ,but this light will give you full power for about 1 hour 20 minutes which is plenty of time for a decent run . The Bluetooth gimmick and app my Petzl light is crap ,waste of time I only downloaded the app to switch the rear flashing red light off that's on the battery , the app is the only way you can controll this red light , let's face it you buy this light because its gonna burn the retinas out of every man an Beast you meet out on the trail end of , why bother turning the power down so it lasts six hours instead of one and a half hours you might as well go and buy a cheaper light with half the power ,and after you've tried ful power anything else is just crap . Charging the battery takes hours about four or five from flat ,so a soon as you can plug this baby in ready for for your next run .This light is very bright and it's pretty much gonna light everything up in front of you on the trail . In short it's an expensive head torch and I don't earn a lot of money so buying this thing was a big deal to me ,but I'm enjoying night time runs more than I ever have and my mileage has increased over this winter simply because of this light ,so money well spent.

I have enjoyed using this headlamp on many long runs at night ...
I have enjoyed using this headlamp on many long runs at night now and it makes it a pleasure to run at night. The battery only goes down to 40-50% after running for about 2 hours. You don't need to use the app to control it, unless you want to change the red light mode which I leave on flashing by default in case of going on the roads. No problems connecting via bluetooth anyway, but like I say you don't need the app. The default profile is good, you twist the button once for medium brightness and twice for full brigthness. You change between reactive brightness and fixed brightness modes by twisting and holding. Therefore you do not need the app, although I do use it to monitor the percentage power I have left. I also bought a spare battery, and a separate torch just in case I am far away in the night and the battery runs out or there is a failure. So far it has been 100% reliable and very very good. The reactive mode is great because the power automatically dims when you turn your head to read a sign or map or look at something on the ground when full power is too bright. It saves battery power, hence why I am getting such good performance from this headlamp. I find it comfortable to wear, and don't feel the need to buy a belt extension since it is better that the red light on the battery is clearly visible on the back of your head for alerting traffic when crossing or running temporarily on roads for example. I have noticed that oncoming cars all dim their headlights before they get to you, because the headlight is so bright. Lastly I would say that the brightness is pleasant to look at and run in. The ground is lit up beautifully in front of you.

Great piece of kit
I had a long race with night sections coming up so thought I’d treat myself based on strong online reviews and upgrade my head torch. I mostly tend to run in the countryside and woodland areas so it was important to get a torch that would have quite a broad reach of light to prevent me tripping or falling over obstacles. This torch was really easy to charge, it has a usb connection to charge up the battery, and it also felt really light and comfortable on my head with litle toggles to adjust the fit. The light itself provided a really broad and clear view of the trail, which you can adjust depending on your preference or need to preserve battery life. A great bit of kit that has become my go-to headtorch for overnight ultra marathons or runs. Brilliant.

Good kit, worth the expense.
Bought this predominantly for trail running during the winter months.Battery life is good, reactive is great for in and out of woods at dusk. Biggest bonus is how snug it is without noticing it’s there. My concerns initially due to the size of the battery.Strobe is handy if mixed trail and road.Have tried various head torches over the years and hands down the best one yet.

Adequate for trail running
I bought this for trail running in the woods over winter. I'm used to Lupine mtb lights, so the output on these can't compare to my Wilma with it's 2800 lumens. They don't need to though as they are priced at a fraction of the cost of Lupine and they have a few tricks that Lupine don't. The reactive lighting is a great idea and saves valuable battery life, but I found myself switching to constant for running as I didn't enjoy the inconsistent lighting I was getting. The whole unit is lightweight and comfortable which I think is a worthwhile trade off for less lumens. You don't need more light than this provides, but it is reassuring to have, so ultimately it's down to a price/weight/output decision.
