I ordered both the 11 and 14 inch plant caddies to replace old wooden ones. They seem sturdier. I especially like the 5 wheels on the 14 inch caddy - I have a very heavy planter on the patio, and this wheels easily. The lip keeps the planter on the caddy - something I didn't have with the wooden caddy. There were no assembly directions included with the packaging, but it was pretty intuitive to add the wheels.

The plant caddy has two locking wheels that are nice and work well. The pots I placed on them are large but the caddy remains stable as I push the pots over the flagstone patio. I did drill a small hole in the base to allow excess water out. I would guess the excess would flow over the side without the hole.

The caddies came in before they were suppose to, always a plus. Reasons for the 4 stars - I haven't had them long enough to really know about " sturdiness & durability". I will know by the end of summer. Biggest reason for the " 4 stars" I probably bought "too small" for the size & weight of my pots. That's entirely on me not the product. The pots fit the caddy beautifully. They do move about the deck fine, but I am careful of moving them since they are rather heavy and the planking on the deck is not smooth as concrete. They look super don't ya think?

Very nice and seems durable. The one I find in local stores are flimsy plastic and thin wire for support. This looks like it will last for years. The watering spike was a nice addition, which I have not used yet.

The product looks good but that is where the good news ends. The initial shipment arrived missing a pair of wheels and most of the watering pieces. A replacement shipment arrived with all the wheels but still missing one of the water parts. Thankfully between the two shipments I had enough to create one complete set and returned the other. Next I assembled the units and placed one planter on each caddy. Added dirt and as I began to roll the first caddy roughly 6 inches toward the wall one of the wheels broke off. The planters I am using are not light, but below the rated weight, so I was surprised at such a quick failure. Needless to say I am returning the product.

This rolling plant pot tray is excellent for my intended use - to keep pots off the concrete of my front porch. The tray appears to be a high-quality resin, and has a "polished" surface. It's quite attractive, for a plastic tray, and seems pretty tough.It's nice that this one has 5 wheels instead of the usual 4. This increases stability, reducing the chance that a bump would knock over a large plant. I think I would have liked it even more if at least one of the 5 wheels could lock - to help keep everything in one place on a windy day or to keep the cats from surfing it down the steps.The wheels are not the highest quality, but they really don't need to be to roll around the home or office or across the occasional bit of rock when outside. I am a bit curious to discover how long the plastic wheels (ABS?) will last in direct sunlight. Note: Be sure to check the wheels for defects before trusting your planter to them. They sell these wheels by the pound, almost, and I'm sure the occasional defect will appear. Mine were all fine, and only one other person has complained here, so far, but take a few moments to look them over before you snap them into place.You are going to like this pair of trays, I believe. The water-bottle-spigots are a nice bonus item, too. Thanks.

Plants look great on these

I live in a 2-story walk up condo unit where the HOA is very conscientious about maintenance. Every year I am required to remove all items from my patio for painting, cleaning or whatever, so moving my plants is physically challenging. With this latest purchase, I now have all my large plant containers on caddies. This makes it so easy for relocation and sweeping the patio, etc. I have 2 bird feeders as well, which requires daily sweeping due to all the seed husks that get scattered, and I just slide the planter out of the way and sweep. It takes just a finger to push the planter out of the way and with a heavier plant, I just push it away with my foot. This really cuts down on the time it takes! No lifting. No pushing. Now I don't even have to bend over. And, I noticed, too, with high winds, they don't go traveling either. I have some caddies with wheel locks, but I quit locking them since it wasn't necessary, and locking them just required an extra step to move the planter.The wheels were very easy to attach---just push them in the slot--- and the caddies appear to be high quality, so I am very pleased with this purchase.
