It was a Christmas gift to granddaughter

Great new take on an old series. Grandpa read the originals so many years ago... bought these for grand daughter for her 12 th birthday, our daughter was unhappy that we bought "old" books. But our grand daughter loved reading the Artic Star as she had just been on a cruise to Alaska and the book reminded her of her trip. When reading it ourselves we noted the upgrade in the story to include cell phones and things of today. We are very glad we bought these. Our grand daughter is 12 and above average in classwork. She told us she loved these books for leisure reading and that she reads them over again for relaxation. We bought two sets so that we could read along and text back and forth with our grand daughter as we read. We would get a text late at night or early in the AM as to what chapter she was on and share thoughts of who "done it"... Quite a great experience.

My 12-year-old daughter still loves these books even though she is getting older. She enjoyed this set very much and has read some of the books twice.

This purchase was for a youmg lady who loves Nancy Drew. These were the first ones she has in the Nancy Drew Diaries set. She loves them. We are going to buy more of them for Birthdays and other special events.

The girls loved them! These booksare filled with mystery and excitement, -everything a fourth or fifth grader needs!

Daughter doesn't really like to sit and read for fun. However, one day I grounded her from her tv and ipod and she sat and read the first book and really enjoyed it. I might have to ground her again just so she finishes the series.
