OSI SC175 Draft & Acoustical Sound Sealant, 28 fl oz, Cartridge

This sealant was essential for my soundproofing project, effectively sealing gaps to significantly reduce noise transmission between rooms. I found it surprisingly easy to apply and clean up, and I love that it remains flexible to maintain a tight seal over time.

I have used this product in the past and it's a good product. However, when the product arrived, the applicators on both tubes were caved in - severely pushed back into the tubes. One was so bad that the caulking was coming out around it. Obviously there was no care taken in packaging this item. I pulled the applicators out and tried to use them but the caulking had started to harden. I ordered this item from Amazon for convenience but it has ended up being more of a hassle than it would have been to go to a store to buy it.

Used two tubes for a remodel and worked well.

Toolability is quite low, like other acoustic sealants. Never dries in the middle. On purpose. This is how it stays super flexible.

Didn't use much product, as the packing bent the nozzle. I was able to get something out, but for the most part, the nozzle failed and ruined the product.

I've ordered two tubes of this stuff, from two different vendors, and both of the tubes arrived damaged. The first one had a bent nozzle, canted severely in order to fit into the shipping package. The caulk was oozing at the nozzle/tube connection. What are the odds that another tube would be similarly damaged, I thought, and ordered a replacement. I was sorta right and sorta wrong: this nozzle was jammed deeply into the tube, with just the tip poking out, like a turtle's head inside of its shell. I give up. (Edit: The vendor "Great Household" did not give me a postage-paid label; sending it back would cost me $14, more than what I paid for the item. They have not responded to an email. So, effectively, the defective item is nonreturnable.)

The product is high quality but hard to work with. Like many others I experienced some nozzle damage in shipping but the worst part is trying to squeeze this stuff out of the tube with a standard caulking gun. Even Popeye would struggle.
