Fitsmart Protein Fiber Shakes Chocolate Creme Powder (1 lb. 5 oz.)

Good shake alone, however I like to add fruit to it. I use bananas and mango. Mostly. Yummy.

As a personal trainer, I've tried a lot of different diet and protein shakes. I finally think that I have found one that is perfect with regards, to taste and content, especially for women. I really like the chocolate creme flavor. It's not at all chalky and tastes great if you blend it into milk. It has 20 grams of protein per serving, which is significantly higher than most os its competitors like SlimFast etc. More importantly, it has 10 grams of soluble fiber which is almost a third of the recommended daily dose of fiber (35grams). The soluble fiber, unlike insoluble fiber, is broken down by bacteria in the colon into short chain fatty acids that can circulate in the blood stream and are beneficial in heart health, control of insulin pathways, weight loss, etc.

I was looking for a replacement for Citrucel (chocolate version) which I give to one of our boys who needs additional dietary fiber. Citrucel has discontinued the chocolate FiberShake product (and for some reason, boys don't like orange flavored milk). Anyway, this product is a fine fiber supplement, but IMHO, doesn't mix well with milk, especially cold milk. It took more work to get the material to dissolve than I would have expected. Perhaps this is simply not an intended use of the product, as 6 year olds really aren't counting calories anyway.

Love their products. Hope they continue with this shake.

We really like this product and were happy to find it available through Amazon. We've ordered from this vendor before and have had excellent results.

This stuff tastes pretty good and the price is reasonable.

I buy this shake mix for my teenage daughter who is a serious runner. She is not trying to lose weight but needs a good source of protein. FitSmart is all natural and has lots of vitamins plus 20 grams of protein. She mixes in the blender with vanilla soy milk, a scoop of dry milk (for the protein), and a fruit or two (frozen banana, frozen strawberries). She gets a huge serving of protein! This is a great option for athletes who need a healthy protein source. Both vanilla and chocolate are good.
