South: The Illustrated Story of Shackleton's Last Expedition 1914-1917

I found it hard to read due to the small font and contrast of the font to background. I returned it.

Shackleton’s expedition to Antarctica is documented in this book, which I am still reading. I have read another account of this story, so I anticipate an amazing story of disaster, survival, human determination, and ultimate triumph in the second half of the book.

Have not started to read yet was planning on taking it to read on plane but that's not going to happen it's just too heavy.I'm sure it's a good read, but would have opted for something more paper backyish had I known it was printed on card stock. Sorry, if this is too venial but I would have not bought if I has any inkling. So if there are more weaklings out there you have been warned. I read another account of this expedition few years ago in paperback.

Beautiful illistrations and first hand accounts. My husband has not finished it yet--as there is so much to it.

Great Product!

I got this because my children will study Shackleton in September. The photos are stunning, but the text is printed in tiny font. Far too small for me to read myself, and too tiny for me to read aloud to them. Definitely not a book for children, in terms of content, and really impossible for me to read. I am really disappointed. I have no idea who would ever print a book in such tiny print- it would give anyone a headache. I wish I had bought something different, as this won’t work at all. Only for those with very sharp eyes.

Some small print size as everyone says, but not impossible. Lots to read, so haven’t finished it yet.

The photographs are numerous and excellent but the font size (approximately 6.5) is ludicrously small and eye strainingly difficult to read.
