Vidalia Brand Sweet Onion Blossom Sauce, 16-ounces (Pack of6)

I was hesitant to buy this sauce because I was forced to purchase a pack of six to get it at all. It is not an easy item to find in the store. My wife has tried and tried to make a "Blooming onion" type sauce to match the sauce that you can buy at Outback. However, no one sells it and it's not an easy sauce to make. Quite frankly I'm sure she would try to make it for me but I don't want to ask every time I want it.So I got this sauce in and I am not disappointed, but it is not what I expected. It has a sort of smoky, but not spicy, blooming onion type taste. It works well as a dipping sauce for a lot of different foods. We use it with the Davios Steak and Cheese spring rolls....Short and sweet: I'd say if you really LOVE Vidalia sauce, this is probably for you.

I was thinking this sauce would be similar to the sauce served at Outback Steakhouse but it really isn't at all. The color is pretty similar but the texture is very funny. When I opened the bottle I thought the smell was a bit off but I still have it a chance. The taste proved to have absolutely none of the same flavors as I was hoping for, it's basically just thousand island dressing. I give three stars because I asked for a refund and they granted it without asking for the product back, now I have some pretty good, free thousand island dressing...

I ordered this on line because the local store quit carrying it, this product has the same name and packaging as what I was buying locally but the flavor isn't even close, the color is much darker also. So now I have a six pack of sauce I don't like. It must be packaged in more than one location, I really enjoy the local version but can't handle this version.

bought this once, couldn't remember where ... search high and low in every local super market ... only place I could find it was right here on AMAZON ... what would I do without Amazon.com ... I would be miserable!!! love love love this sauce!!! great for fries, delish on a burger & steaks ... adds so much flavor ... try it, you'll LIKE it!

Good tasting, a little on the spicey side. Difficult to find, had to order on the Internet. Enjoyed especially with Vidalia batter mix.

This is my third order since my Wal-mart store stopped caring it I will keep getting it from Vidalia Brand as long as I can.
