Wacky Races: Volume 1 [DVD] [1968]

Wacky Races, like most things from my childhood, wasn't perhaps quite as good as I remember it being, but it did lead to one of the most fun nights of my life with a group of friends and copious quantities of alcohol...You know those race nights you get when someone buys in footage of obscure horse races from somewhere far away and everybody bets on them? Well, you can do exactly the same with this DVD! Simply decide who you're backing (or, better still, pull the names of the cars out of a hat - no one is exactly going to pick Dick Dastardly of their own accord, are they?), pick a random episode and away you go! No cheating now...the names of the winners do appear on the internet, suggesting an even greater need to randomise which cars everyone's backing!Come on the Creepy Coupe! I've got a fiver on you!

This is a great dvd! My 5 year old loves it just as much as my brother and I loved the show 30 years ago when we were kids! I seem to remember we were a bit older when we used to watch it, but I'd say 4-6 is the perfect age. Dastardly and Muttley and the rest of the gang are as great as ever. Plenty of repeated jokes, my son loves this, and all the falling into holes, etc that goes on! Been a great hit in our house! Hope you enjoy it too!

A mix of all the other Hanna Barbera cartoons rolled into one the Wacky Races was the best all the best loved HB characters competing against each other in a race that was always totally pointless. Obviously dick dastardley was always the one trying to win the race by any means normally foul. Another brilliant dose of 60's cartoon humour and mayhem.DVD arrived in perfect condition and with in time frame described.

Just fancied a trip back in time ,its the way i remembered it . Brought a smile to my face with some of the Wacky antics they get up to . Brilliant

Probably one of my favourite cartoons as a kid. Bought for my nieces to let them see what i used to watch, and they are now hooked! I still find it great too :)

I think the quality of the DVD is fine. I think the problem might be me. I remembered the Wacky Races as being a lot more amusing then it actually is ,but then I was about seven so its probably just as well I don,t still find it hilarious.
