The directions were in English and easy to follow
This is an honest review and I was not paid or given a discount on this item. I bought this for my grandmother's electric cart. My son and I put it together with basic hand tools, adjustable wrench, and pliers. It took about 30 min to put it together so on a scale of 1-10 (10 hard) it was a 4. All went smooth with the assembly and we did not have to modify any part of it. There were no missing or extra pieces. The directions were in English and easy to follow. The locks for folded up and at a 90 work great and are easy to use. Once it was assembled it was easy, heavy but easy to install onto the truck. after jumping around on it and retighten all the bolts it was very stable. Loading was easy and on the first trip was a success. I put two straps on it in a "X" shape and it did not move or bounce. On the highway, we got up to 70 mph and no problem. Pro: 1. Easy to assemble. 2. Well built and solid construction. 3 Anti bounce bracket included and locking bolts so it will not sway. 4. easy to take on and off. 5. Great in town and on the highway. Con: 1. steep ramp, the no flip wheels on cart drag going up and had to give it a push. 2. weighs 65 lbs heavy to take on and off. 3. If you plan on leaving on the car or outside you should buy spray paint and repaint for a thick coat. It has a thin coat of paint. Two cans of black Rustoleum $6 will fix this. Would buy the same item if I had to replace (stolen).

very sturdy and feels quality made.
My family used this to transport an electric wheelchair when we went on vacation and this had no doubt in my mind that it would get the job done. It feels extremely sturdy and there's no doubt in my mind that this could hold more then like 500lb's on it. (don't quote me on that tho haha) It's a pretty easy setup and the hinge that allows the product to fold up and go down is very curtail because it saves space in small parking spots! The Ramp is also great because then you can just ride the wheelchair or whatever you're storing up on it. It's heavy but itll get the job well beyond done!

Awesome product with one flaw…
I really like the durability of the carrier. Easy to install, however it’s pretty heavy, so I don’t remove it if I know I’m going to use it on a regular basis. Only issue I had was one of the pull locks came off on the first trip, causing the gate to fall open on the freeway. Could have been a pretty awful situation if there had been cars near me. I now use a tie down strap to keep it up and secure.

Performed as expected. No issues in assembly or install.
This is a second ramp I've used to transport an electric scooter. I'm very pleased with this ramps performance. This is a manual ramp, no electrics for lift or for lights. Shipping box did have some tears and marks but no damage to the overall ramp. Assembly required but instructions were straight forward. There are 2 installs, one for "quick" removal and one for permanent install. I use the quick removal, and store the ramp for later use. But installing ramp to your vehicle will take 2 people. Don't risk injury trying to self install. Keep in mind you will need space for the ramp. Ramp is not heavy, around 10lbs. I did have a 4 wheel electric scooter and a 2 seat child stroller on the ramp during travel. Had no issues. Just make sure you buy some good tie down ratchet straps. Cons: I don't know the laws on the vehicle license plate and ramps. But I would have liked a mount on the ramp. When ramp is folded up, your plate will be covered. The locking pin, this helps lock the ramp in place, when folding up/down the ramp could be easier to remove/install. The rubber lining around the grips do come lose and could fall off. Glue may help?

verify. verify. verify. hitch. towing weight. loading.
2nd update to review: I contacted Amazon about the fact that the merchandise couldn't be used safely and they told me to contact the manufacturer, which I did. their site promises 100% customer service. When I called them, they refered me back to Amazon do you can see a viscious cycle. after asking a gentleman to tell me whether what i had ordered would actually work for my vehicle he asked me to send him various pics and info concerning my car. the email response told me to contact Amazon again. I badgered them until they told me that my SUV (not a small car) only had a "tongue weight" of 100 lb. So the video showing it attached to a small car is quite misleading. If you have taken the time to read all of this I wish you good luck if you purchase this rack. EDITED TO ADD: after finally having a new hitch on my SUV and purchasing all necessary equipment (wheelchair cover, tie downs and lock) i finally got the wheelchair loaded but there is no way the trailer can be used! i couldn't even leave the driveway safely. i tried it because i needed the wheelchair for a doctor appointment but it drug the ground even on level ground so there's no way i could travel with it. i have reduced the review to one star and would change it to zero if i could. in short: DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I thought I would be thrilled to use this trailer, but it's been nothing but a huge headache and wish I had never bought it. It has taken me over a month (just missing the refund deadline by 2 days) to get everything installed and verified. 1. check your trailer hitch. I had one on my car (SUV) that I thought would only need an adapter part. NO. It cost me almost $600 to purchase a new hitch and have it installed. So check to make sure you have the correct one. 2. check that your vehicle has the towing capability. According to my owner's manual there is no issue. But because the weight is not evenly distributed over the axle, there is still a question. the dealer advised me to do whatever I am comfortable with. I am almost 70 years old so it really makes me anxious. especially on the interstates. Here the speed limit is 80 MPH. I am nervous driving my car on the interstate even without the carrier attached. 3. The video shows a lady loading a scooter onto the rack. you should never ride the scooter/wheelchair onto the ramp. instead you should use the power of the device. The video shows the rack attached to a small crossover vehicle loading a scooter. it looks so easy. I own a full size SUV which sits higher than the car in the video. I also have a powered wheelchair, which the model I have uses a larger center wheel to drive the chair and the smaller wheels on the front and back have no power to them. Because my car sits higher, the ramp has a steeper incline. I had huge difficulties trying to load it so I called the wheelchair service technician who made a trip to my home to inform me of the issue with the drive wheel and told me that I had to use more speed to make the center tire grab onto the ramp and aid in the steeper incline. when i loaded it the first time i opened the ramp and attempted to load the wheelchair. I ended up running the front two wheels off the ramp because of the speed needed. I backed the chair down the ramp. the bracket holding the ramp was bent and wouldn't lock even if I had been able to get the chair loaded. The end of the ramp was on the most level area I could find. there aren't many in utah. I'm not sure what caused the bracket to bend. It is much thinner metal than the rest of the rack so it could have been the speed or the uneven ground. but I was lucky that I was home and not traveling where I couldn't get assistance with it. 4. in the video shown there is no twisting of the rack. My SUV is higher so when I finally did get my wheelchair loaded the rack was twisted on the tongue of the hitch which left it quite wobbly. I still feel anxious taking it out on the road and even more so because I will be traveling out of state by myself. I thought I was going to gain independence that I lost years ago. but after spending over $1000 for the rack, cover for the chair, having the hitch changed out on my car (mine had a 2inch ball on it) straps to secure the wheelchair and locks , etc. I think I may have made a mistake. On a much minor issue: I imagine the ramp being on the passenger side is considered safer. But where I live there are few streets where the ramp is needed to unload on the passenger side. Most parking lots have the option for vans to unload on either side and in my driveway it would be much easier to have it on the same side as the driver, eliminating either going into the neighbor's yard or having to walk back and forth around the vehicle to unload groceries, etc. this has been quite lengthy but I wish someone had pointed this out before I spent so much money and now may be too anxious to use it. it has taken me over a month to get everything purchased, installed so I could even try to use it. To date, I haven't even had it on the rack long enough to leave my driveway and I missed the return window by actually 1 day. I hope that I can actually get it loaded, strapped down and take a short trip to be sure that I can use it. to avoid headaches, anxiety and ending in the poorhouse with nothing to show for it, -please do your research and verify everything to make certain you can use it when it arrives.
