Mysore Sandal Soap, 150g (Pack of 3)

The best! This is hands down the best sandal soap I have used. People complaining may have not smelled any real sandalwood. It might smell off putting to some, but when you shower and take a whiff of your skin you should smell that creamy soft sublime smell of sandalwood. Good sandalwood products is supposed to linger and not be a flowery blast. I also have a ds and durga Radio Bombay which smells pretty identical. Also after years of showering with body washes, I thought of going back to a soap and pleasantly surprised that soaps actually make me feel fresh a lot longer and mysore sandal literally lingers through the day. Again if you know what sandal wood smells like this is the one for you!!

I've purchased this product many times over the years. Initially found it in an ethnic grocer and discovered I can buy online now that I do not live near that grocer any longer for many years. The quality is consistent and the scent is fresh and clean. Not like perfume, this is a clean scent. Somewhat moisturizing although I always wear moisturizer now living in southwest. I use on entire body, including face. It will dry face which may be good thing if you have oily skin and clogged pores. My current residence has very hard water and this soap rinses off with no residue. I will continue to purchase for many years. A single bar can last a very long time both as hand soap and in shower so you won't spend a lot of money reordering. The shape is easy to hold in hand.

Mysore Sandalwood Soap is the best scented soap, if you like scented soap. It can take the place of cologne, if you’re a man who doesn’t use cologne, but still wants to smell good.

This is old fashion sandalwood soap. Soap does tend to dry the skin, but that's what it does. Its not a BBW product. And I have dry skin. But, I like the scent it leaves behind and it cleans very well. It will leave a soap film in the shower, but again its good old fashioned soap, that's what it does. You will have to scrub your tub clean afterwards especially if you live with the hard water in Texas. I always use a good moisturizer after I shower, and that helps. It works well with my other sandalwood products. I'd recommend it.

I do not think there is a similar product made in the U.S. At least I have not encountered anything similar. When I use this soap on my skin I smell exactly the smells I would expect from high quality Indian sandalwood incense. It is a higher quality smell if sandalwood than that you may smell from an essential oil under $20. It has the hints of smoke, spice, and sweetness in one. The smell does not linger in the bathroom too long but it is strong enough that you can smell some on your skin. Very nice.

I love this soap. Makes my skin feel so smooth and no more rough elbows. It smells so good too. I will never go back to regular soap.

I found this soap to have a triple use. Washing (very good), shampooing and shaving (pretty good). It stings the eyes, so I believe it has antiseptic properties.

Dear Consumers, let me first preface this with, I'm not normally a soapy kind of guy, but since i was a kid i have had skin allergies and constantly have to be careful of allergic reactions to soaps and shampoos and colognes and even women's perfumes from time to time... I even had to tailor my own kind of antiperspirant down to one non-allergenic brand.. anyway... about three years ago a friend bought me some Sandalwood soap and wow... it was awesome... great smell, long lasting and most of all no reaction at all... well i ran out and never replaced it.. over the time i have been trying to find the same one and not had much success... so yet again i went in search of soap and found this on, so I bought it, this Mysore brand... And Oh My Holiness... Listen.... This stuff never made it to my bathroom okay, that's how bad this stuff is... And i mean that literally i opened the amazon package, then opened the sealed package containing the soap and then the smell hit me... I wouldn't give this stuff to my worst enemy.. figure of speech... but its true... this stuff is awful.. smells like nothing more than IVORY.. .TRUST Me.... i have been through every brand you can find in walmart, grocery stores, CVS, walgreens, Hooks (in the old days) and more... and this is nothing but IVORY based soap... YUCK...... sadly i brought this on myself... i went cheap and bought three for $10 bucks... now i will just save my self the sensory sadness and buy the best brand i can find for more if i have to... I'm sorry, whoever makes this stuff.. really needs to go back to formula..... i mean i suppose there are a good many people that like it.. as its been around forever according to online reviews and statements, but i am sure all of them use IVORY too.. which i cant stand the smell of nor tolerate on my skin.. so back to the drawing board for me.. oatmeal soap.. until i find the one sandalwood that is right for me. Spend your money on something that is a better quality and better scented sandalwood this is a knock-off trying being passed off as sandalwood... Okay I'm done... just had to share because i cant believe anyone really likes this stuff and want to save you the grief of facing the awful smell... Kind Regards, and best of luck soap hunting..

This is the best soap I have ever used. The clean and attractive aroma of sandalwood stays on your skin making you feel fresh and clean. The sandalwood also stays in the soap right down to the last wash. The soap does not get mushy as it gets smaller, nor does it crack or break up into bits like some other soaps. The three pack is very good value especially when one considers the quality of the product. The only way this soap could improve would be to use sustainable palm oil.

Seems to be original and different from what I bought from India. Quality is better and fragrance is long lasting.
